An accurate representation of your life leading up to chapter.
10 a.m.
You're just waking up from the night before. You haven't even opened your eyes yet and your head is already spinning. You're not sure if you want food or if you need to be hugging the porcelain throne for the duration of the morning.
11 a.m.
You're finally out of bed and decide to get your life together (somewhat) and go shower. Words are still hard at this point so your roommate better not try and make conversation or at any moment World War III could ensue. Eight ounces of coffee should be in your system before interacting with any other human.
12 p.m.
The classic "Are you alive?" text arrives from your Big or your best friend. You respond with one word,"No" while you inhale a bagel with cream cheese.
Then it hits you.
YOU HAVE CHAPTER TONIGHT.
You have to sit in a room with all of your sisters and pretend to listen to announcements. The only logical solution you can come up with is to try and find an excuse not to go, like a recent developing cold??? Probably not...
3 p.m.
Time has somehow gotten away from you (because you were most likely taking a nap) and if you're a freshman like me, you have to figure out how to get to your sorority house. Walking is the obvious solution but let's be honest, no one wants to do that. You frantically text every one you know in hopes of finding a ride.
6 p.m.
Cry.
6:02 p.m.
You decide you have time for one more episode of "Friends" on Netflix.
6:24 p.m.
You check Facebook and every other form of social media you have.
6:47 p.m.
You get a text from your G Big telling you she's downstairs waiting for you. You are literally not even dressed and your pin is no where to be found.
6:48 p.m.
More crying.
6:55 p.m.
Your G Big is very salty about the fact that she's been sitting waiting for you.
Also chapter starts in five minutes.
You rush to the elevator and get to the car, some how managing not to trip and face plant in your heels. You're pretty sure you have everything you need and you don't look too ratchet.
7:02 p.m.
Made it.
8:05 p.m.
Slowly falling in and out of sleep hoping not to fall off your chair in front of everyone.
9:00 p.m.
Casually reading through the minutes because you didn't listen to a single thing during chapter.
