Watching the Falcons play on Sunday Nights has been a family tradition ever since the franchise started in 1965. The Falcons are my family's pride and joy and I love bonding with my dad while watching the football games. Being born and raised in Georgia, my father has been waiting for a Superbowl ring for his hometown team for his entire life. (This is why those 28-3 jokes aren't all that funny to us anymore.)
My dad and his younger brother are two of the biggest Falcons fans I know and they were devastated when we lost Superbowl LI. Atlanta Falcons games are a way my dad can feel close to home, while still being in Virginia and something he can root for even though the Falcons still don't have a Superbowl ring. Here's to getting over that Superbowl hangover and watching many more games with my dad. After all, who doesn't love seeing Julio Jones, Turbo Taylor, and Vic Beasley every Sunday night? We also had the league's MVP in my favorite quarterback, the lovely MATTY ICE.
