With school around the corner, many people are beginning to realize that in just a few weeks, they'll be leaving home. I am happy to go back to school to see my friends and hang out with them, but not for the classes.
1. You’re casually watching TV when it comes on.
You knew the inevitable back-to-school commercial would come on but not so soon!
2. Better actually start shopping for dorm supplies.
You were hoping to put it off for the last minute, but you realize that that moment has quickly arrived.
3. You sadly realize you have to change your alarm settings
You delete the noon alarm that would mostly not fully wake you up anyway to 7am for those stupid 8 ams.
3. You begin to pack an absurd amount of clothing.
There is no reason for you to be bringing a snow jacket to school this early, but hey, you never know.
4. Saying goodbye to your home friends.
Those 3 months flew by so quickly and it feels like you barely hung out.
5. Arriving at school.
You are really excited to see your friends but nothing beats your bed at home.
6. Seeing your friends.
Honestly seeing them makes coming back to school more bearable.
7. Realizing you no longer will have home-cooked food.
You (along with probably every other UMD student) hate the dining hall and the fact that they changed the food system makes it worse.
8. Ugh! Dorm showers!

9. Getting back into your gym routine.
Because let's be honest, it's a lot easier to exercise at school than it is at home.
10. Actually having to go to class.
It's the moment we all dread, having to go to our first class.
11. Fighting with yourself to start doing work.
It takes a lot of effort to start attempting to do your homework.
12. Realizing you have eight more months of this.
Let's begin the countdown to Thanksgiving break, shall we!
I love my school, don't get me wrong, but I am not looking forward to going to lectures and doing homework. I miss my friends so much, but the thought of accounting work makes me want to stay home forever.
