Rest Easy To The People Who Lost Their Lives

We the People of the United States…”

1619 This was the first year that slaves were brought to the United States. This was the first instance that someone was treated with real injustice in America. This was the year that humans started the major trend of using other human beings.

1833 This was the year that: Slavery Abolition Act 1833 was formed in order to stop slavery. In order to stop the abuse of other human beings. However, this didn’t lead to any difference in the way that other human beings were treated.

1954 This was the year that The Supreme Court allowed for segregated schools. This was the year that The United States beliefs developed into reality. The beliefs that humans have differences that those differences should be exploited was disgraceful.

A country with a future that seems to be repeating. There may not be slavery which was one the biggest things that impacted the people. That idea if people physically using people to achieve higher good for one ethnicity was the thing that impacted the lives of other people.

The reason I start this article of remembrance is not to negatively impact your view but to show you that history does repeat itself to an extent.

This country has moved its reason to segregated and exploited people based on their sexual orientation. However, there have been major reaches to achieve our first amendment but there have been set backs.

1969, Stonewall Inn were the riots and homosexual people were hurt. This was a setback along with many people that were hurt. This trend seemed to continue through more riots and people getting hurt.

June 26, 2015, the day and the Year that gay marriage was legalized. This was the biggest milestone in history. This was the day that people in The United States of America were allowed to get married.

However, the events that happened last week showed that there is always going to be a reason for people to discriminate. The view of this world has been so intense to the point that there has been violence against many people.

June 12, 2016: the day that the face of humanity In the United States hit it’s lowest. This is the day that the biggest massacre in the country. 50 people who had storied and lives lost their lives at a young age. These people’s lives were taken too early, their family lost their spirits and importantly their families lost who they were.

However, they may have passed physically but their spirits live on. Through the people who remember them on a daily basis and to the people who recognize that this terror made the people who have been discriminated stronger.

History repeated its self and every time it hurts more and more people. This is a sign that there should be more gun control and this is sign that discrimination continues in this country.

We the People of The United States” still live with this pain and discrimination there still seems to be that one thing that we don’t have and its freedom…

The freedom to Love

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
