Congratulations to the feminist of the world! You have done it! Finally, women have reached the equality they have all strived for!

Sunday, November 13th Emma Mannion was arrested on The University of Alabama campus on suspicion of reporting a false sexual assault. Now why would something like this make feminist rejoice? The truth is society shaped the minds of young women to give them the sense they had a special card in their back pocket that they could use at any given time to get revenge for ruining her date party, spilling beer on an expensive dress, or just for giggles. The special card being the sexual assault card.

Now, everyone calm down for a second — I acknowledge there is a real problem with sexual assault and my words are not to demean or downplay survivors of sexual assault. The women that undergo this type of abuse live with it every day and it is a traumatic experience. Who I am talking to is the 27 young women who have reported a sexual assault this year on Alabama's campus. Why those 27 women specifically? Because of those 27 women who reported sexual assault against them, in 25 of the cases, the charges fell through. 2 were found to be telling the truth and the offenders against them were found and brought to justice as they should have been.

If any of those 25 girls decided to waste the time and resources of the men in blue who protect us on a daily basis, they should be ashamed. Emma Mannion's arrest represents a cultural revolution taking place on college campuses where the men accused of these charges are no longer guilty until proven innocent. Young women have disrespected the law long enough and are no longer given the privilege of being perceived honest.

I will leave you with a personal story of mine to silence those who disagree with me and think this cultural change is a bad thing. A friend of mine, who we will refer to as Rob, was recently kicked out of a university for sexual assault. The only evidence against him being the female involved words. The story told by Rob and backed up with videos and witness is as follows: It was a Thursday night and of course, lots of alcoholic beverages were being consumed. His close female friend from high school had already blacked out and he wanted to make sure she got home okay. He picked her up, put her in his car, and proceeded to take her home. He put here in bed propped and made sure she would be okay. He left and returned to the party while she slept it off. Well, she didn't sleep it off. She got out of bed several hours earlier and went out partying once more where she had sex with a random guy at some point. She woke up the next morning not remembering anything but Rob putting her in bed the night before. She did not remember anything else but realized she had sex and came to the conclusion Rob had raped her. Rob has been shamed for life for her mistake and was found innocent in the court of law due to DNA evidence testing, but the damage has already been done.

There are thousands of stories like this on college campuses, but those stories were not for nothing as this new shift in mindset by police around the nation will prove to be the fairest and most reasonable way to handle situations like these.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
