If you were born in the 90s or early 2000s then you are probably heartbroken that Disney Channel will never be the same. Now you turn on Disney Channel and see some shows and movies that you have never even heard of. I'm sure we have all heard young kids today talk about their Disney Channel experience. Safe to say, Disney Channel today will never compare to the Disney Channel we all had.
I feel bad for kids that watch Disney Channel shows today and think they are good. They have no idea what they missed. All the shows/movies Disney is known for. Let's just take some time to recognize Disney for some of the best shows from the 90s and early 2000s. Here are a few but definitely not all of the best throwback Disney shows that aired.
1. "That's So Raven"
Oh Snap! If you didn't sing along to this theme song you weren't a true fan. Everyone loved Raven and all her craziness she got herself in to. From the stinky cheese in the school's vent to dressing up like an old lady Raven did it all. That So Raven was a huge hit, with the Boyz in Motion melting our hearts and even led to her "little brother" getting a show too! "Cory in the House."2. "Even Stevens"
Louis and Ren the siblings that grew up in good ole' California. Louis was always getting into something, and Ren was constantly trying to rat him out and make him the "bad sibling." Can't forget about Beans...the bacon loving best friend.
3. "Lizzie McGuire"
Remember in The Lizzie McGuire movie when Lizzie and Gordo FINALLY kissed. Gordo lived his life stuck in the friend zone. Matt, Lizzie's little brother always trying to mess up Lizzie's teenage life. As if she wasn't struggling enough to be a teenager with her bestie Miranda getting bullied everyday at school?
4. "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"
All the girls were in love with Zack and Cody. I personally had a poster of them in my room. Living the life, running around one of the nicest hotels doing whatever they wanted. Mr. Moseby was always chasing after them thinking he would be able to stop them. Oh don't forget about "Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya De La Rosa Ramirez". London Tipton taught me what the PRNDL was too!
5. "Hannah Montana"
Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana whichever you prefer, rocked it. She taught us the bone dance, and other great songs that most of us can probably still sing. This show taught us about friendships and how to be a secret famous singer if we wanted to. She even showed us our first heartbreak with Jake Ryan who was actually named Leslie.
Although, these are not nearly all of the best shows that Disney Channel showed, but if I listed all of them you would've probably stopped reading a long time ago. Anyway here's to the awesome shows that kept us laughing, who knows sometimes even shedding a tear, and keeping us on our toes while waiting for the nest episode to air. These shows may be gone, but they will never be forgotten. Thanks for reminiscing with me.
