Everyone has those days where they just feel like giving up and to not even bother anymore. We all somewhere in our lives feel the need to just stop and to start not caring about what happens to ourselves. We forget the reason why we are here and why we were brought to this earth....to live a life worth living. Whenever you are down and out and feel like there is absolutely no way out, tell yourself these things to keep you going.

"There is love all around me"

You are loved by so many people in your life. You thrive on that love and it keeps you going. Just remember who is there for you now and who was always there for you in the beginning. Love makes you grow and realizing the amount of people in your life that love you and appreciate you will make you feel on top of the world. Tell yourself that you are surrounded by a bunch of people who care for your well being. They love you sooooooo much.

"There is a world to explore"

You haven't lived fully if you haven't traveled anywhere but where you live. There is so much to see and places to explore and I find that so crazy. Take a break from life and get some of your closest friends and go somewhere you all haven't been to before and take bunch of pictures and have the time of your life.

"I can do it"

If you made it this far in life already, than push yourself to keep going. Strive for the best and have fun while doing it. Always tell yourself that you can keep going and when you feel like you re being knocked down, pick yourself up and do this for yourself.

"It could be worse"

You don't know everyone's personal story, but make sure to remind yourself that there are worse things out there than what you are feeling. Of course it's normal to feel this way (down and out), but always remember that you are lucky to be where you are.

"Take a deep breath"

Make sure to tell yourself to take a deep breath. Trust me.. it helps...a lot! When you feel there is no way out of feeling terrible, always stop what you are doing and just breathe. Breathe and think about absolutely nothing. Don't think about what you are feeling or thinking; just breathe.

"I'm alive"

You are healthy and alive. That is the greatest gift anyone could ever be given. Your life is precious, so don't take it for granted. Have fun, make mistakes, go out, explore the world, take life for what it is, and be happy. Life is to short to go through it knowing what you could've done. So instead of being unhappy, go out and live a life worth living.

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
