Personally, I do not believe in reincarnation. However, I do have a great interest in events that go "beyond science" (which is the name of a YouTube channel that I follow, if you like things similar to what I am about to talk about I suggest subscribing to it). Reincarnation is an idea that has been around for centuries. Reincarnation is a belief of multiple cultures and religions, especially in the Western World. To some of us, this is just a history lesson from old cultures. But to others, this is reality.

Patrick Christenson

In March of 1991, Patrick was born by cesarean section. Twelve years earlier, he had an older brother named Kevin who died of cancer at the age of two. Kevin developed a limp six months before passing away. Kevin also had a small nodule above his right ear removed, a biopsy was performed and this is how the family found out Kevin had cancer. Tumors eventually spread throughout the rest of his body, one of them causing blindness in his eye. Kevin passed away shortly after his second birthday. Twelve years later, Patrick was born. Coincidentally, Patrick walked with a limp, had a scar above his right ear, and was blind in one eye. Patrick also talked about the old house that Kevin lived in, and mentioned how he doesn't remember much during the procedure where the doctors removed the nodule above his ear.

Purnima Ekanayake

Purnima was nine years old when a psychology professor decided to visit her in her home in Sri Lanka. The professor was interested in this particular girl because usually kids stop talking about their past life by the age of six. Purnima claimed that she had died in a traffic accident in her past life. The parents and professor were interested in this, so they travelled to the village the girl used to live in. The girl used to be a man named 'Jinadasa,' and he used to work in an incense factory. Purnima had birth marks on her stomach, which she said were the tire marks of where the bus ran over her in her past life.

Twin Sisters

In England in 1957, two sisters were killed by a car that hit them while they were walking along a sidewalk. One year later, the wife became pregnant, and the husband had a feeling that this pregnancy was going to be twin girls, both of who were going to be a reincarnation of their daughters who passed the year before. One of the babies was born with a scar above her right eyebrow, identical to their oldest daughter's. The other baby was born with a mole, the same size and in the same spot as their youngest daughter who had passed. When the girl's turned four, the husband opened up his late daughters' box full of toys. The twin girls knew the names of every single toy, and to which sister it belonged to.

James Leininger

James had a fascination with anything aircraft related when he was a child. However, when he turned two James began having nightmares about aviation. He would wake up shouting "burning plane" and "man can't get out." James would tell his father about how he used to fly planes off of a ship called Natoma. His father was very interested in these stories that he researched this ship. Come to find out, Natoma was an aircraft ship in the Pacific, and a young man at the age of 21 died when a plane caught on fire. It is to be believed that James is the reincarnation of this young pilot.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
