There is nothing better than being on break and having the chance to sit around and watch Netflix all day. Following the end of the semester, I had nothing better to do but to browse the different categories available and find some new shows to watch. I've binge-watched several new shows this break and because of this, I have become the newest Netflix Guru. If you've just completed watching one of your favorite shows and are looking for something new to watch, here are a few recommendations:
1. "Arrested Development"
"Arrested Development" is a television show that focuses around the Bluth family. The main character, Michael Bluth, is forced to stay in California and run his family's business after his father is sent to prison for committing white-collar crime. With minimal funds in possession, Michael struggles to juggle the wants and needs of his materialistic family, while also trying to maintain his close relationship with his teenage son, George Michael. "Arrested Development" is filled with witty humor, most of which will be overlooked if you aren't paying attention to the show. It is easy to develop a favorite character on this television show because all of the characters have captivating, individual personalities.
2. "Bob's Burgers"
"Bob's Burgers" is probably one of the funniest animated television shows on Netflix. The show is centered around the Belcher family and their ridiculous daily antics. Each character (whether it is Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene, or Louise) is easy to relate to and fall in love with, which makes the show worth watching.
3. "Law and Order: SVU"
Everyone has heard of this show, so by default, it becomes a Netflix recommendation!
4. "Parks and Recreation"
If you ever feel like you need a great laugh or even a quote to relate to that situation you just went through, "Parks and Recreation" is the show for you!
5. "Orange Is The New Black"
"Orange Is The New Black" is probably my favorite Netflix original. Although this show can be regarded as inappropriate to a much younger audience, it is still entertaining, as well as informative. This show discusses several important topics, some of which are controversial and/or may trigger strong emotions within a person. I'd recommend this show only to a mature audience, but I wouldn't recommend watching it casually in the comfort of your living room. Whip out that laptop or download the Netflix app and enjoy!
6. "The Office"
Contrary to popular belief, "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" are not similar shows. In my opinion, "The Office" should be consider 10 times better. You have your basic love story and dry, witty humor, which makes for an overall amazing show!
7. "Young and Hungry"
This is another one of my favorite television shows on Netflix! "Young and Hungry" is another show full of comedy and the basic love story, which I must say, will make you angry at the amount of plot twists that come along with it. I'd recommend this show for yet another laugh and for all of the food lovers out there!
8. "Girl Meets World"
For anyone who was a fan of "Boy Meets World," this is the newest show that you need to watch! "Girl Meets World" introduces adult Cory and Topanga, but centers around their daughter, Riley, as she ventures through adolescence and its trials. Similar to "Boy Meets World," this show provides valuable life lessons that we all need to learn.
9. "Drop Dead Diva"
"Drop Dead Diva" is about a beautiful, slim, and shallow model who dies and reincarnates into an intelligent plus-sized lawyer. I'd recommend this show solely for the message that it portrays: Inner beauty is more important than outer beauty.
10. ***BONUS: "Degrassi: Next Class"

11. ***BONUS: "Fuller House"
