The chill of fall is upon us. The leaves will soon be changing, it will get dark out ALOT faster, and temperatures will be dropping rapidly. Let's be honest, when fall comes there is nothing better than settling into your dorm on a chilly day and watching some Netflix. However, after a summer full of binge watching you may have just finished up a series and are in need of some new ideas. So, without further adieu is a list of eight series to binge watch this fall season.

1. Friends

The old stand by. This suggestion is meant for those few on the planet who have not watched it, or to those (such as myself) who have watched a million times but still want more. With a cohesive cast, and great one liners this show never fails to make people laugh. Warning: you will start to wish you were in their friends group by episode two.

2. Gilmore Girls

At first, I didn't like this show at all. I found Lorelai tough to root for, but eventually she won me over. The fast paced dialogue and banter makes it easy to binge watch, and inevitably you will wish you had the relationship with your mother that Lorelai and Rory have with each other.

3. Jane the Virgin

A fairly new series, the premise of this show centers around Jane, a young woman who was artificially inseminated by accident, making her a pregnant virgin. With tons of drama, and comedy it is hard to stop watching. Plus, the focus on Latin America culture is refreshing in comparison to the eurocentric television shows usually aired.

4. Grey's Anatomy

Warning: This show is a major commitment, it has over ten seasons and counting. If you have the time to watch this (it's worth it) be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions as you become emotionally invested in the lives of the doctors and aspiring doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital. This show packs in the drama, and horrific events along with tender moments that make it addicting.

5. Orange is the New Black

Finally a television show with an almost entirely female cast. The characters struggles and triumphs as they go through daily life in a women's prison are inspiring as well as heartbreaking. The corruption of the prison systems is also highlighted, along with many other subtle (or not so subtle) social commentaries. What hooked me most about this show was the back stories of each inmate, intertwining with the story line for each episode.

6. Stranger Things

his brand new Netflix original is so good. That's about all I can say without giving away its eerie plot line. I'm not usually into science fiction movies or shows but the gripping young cast got me hooked. With only eight episodes in the first season, you, like me, will be counting down until next year for the new season to be released.

7. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

This may be my favorite series of my entire list. The comedy and cast are on point , and never has abduction and forced cult membership been so funny (if it can be). Kimmy's optimism is inspiring and you will catch yourself using her catchphrases in everyday life.

8. Crazy Ex Girlfriend

Another newer show, the neuroticism of Rebecca coupled with her desire to be with the man she loves (her ex), makes her "crazy" actually pretty relatable. Also, it doesn't hurt that in every episode there is a musical moment in which some character breaks out into song. Everyone loves a good song, right?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
