If you're like me, you definitely doubt yourself 24/7 and feel as if you'll never get anywhere. Your mind swirls with thoughts such as you'll never graduate, never get a job, never be successful and reach your dreams and goals. If you are in need of a helping hand, here are 5 classic Disney songs that are sure to motivate and reassure you.

1. Go The Distance (Hercules)

"I am on my way, I can go the distance. I'll be there some day, If I can be strong. And I know every mile, will be worth my while."

Hercules does the favor of reminding us all that we can always get to where we want to be, and that no matter what, we are strong enough to reach our goals and dreams. The journey towards our dreams will be well worth it, no matter how long it takes.

2. How Far I'll Go (Moana)

"See the line where the sky meets the sea, it calls me. But no one knows, how far it goes. If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me, one day I'll know, if I go there's just no telling how far I'll go."

Just as Moana dreams to venture beyond the island she is forced to stay upon, you feel stuck where you currently are and dream to reach your goals and move on. Like Moana's dad, there will be people who will attempt to hold you back from pursuing your dreams. But, according to Moana herself, "No one knows, how far I'll go". Even the people in your life who doubt you will be impressed with how far you will go in life.

3. I See The Light (Tangled)

"And at last I see the light, and it's like the fog has lifted. And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright, and the world has somehow shifted."

Rapunzel and Flynn teach the lesson that there will always be an opportunity to reach your goals. Whenever you're feeling worthless, or that you won't travel anywhere in life, the "fog" will lift and new doors will open. The dark, gray clouds will disappear and be replaced by the bright and beautiful sunlight.

4. Just Around the Riverbend (Pocahontas)

"I look once more just around the river bend, beyond the shore where the gulls fly free, don't know what for what I dream the day might send, just around the river bend for me, coming for me."

Pocahontas is a very determined young girl, set out to follow her dreams, not letting anyone or anything get in her way. She is very optimistic and excited about her future and knows that many opportunities will open up for her. She inspires others to always remember that there will definitely be an opening for you in your future.

5. Almost There (Princess and the Frog)

"But I know exactly where I'm going, getting closer and closer every day, and I'm almost there, I'm almost there, people down here think I'm crazy, but I don't care, trials and tribulations, I've had my share, there ain't nothing gonna stop me now 'cause I'm almost there".

Princess Tiana is inspiring because as an African-American girl growing up in New Orleans during the Roaring Twenties, she is always put down by others because of the way she looks. She continues to push past society's cruel expectations in order to reach her dreams. If you can put your mind to it, you can accomplish it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
