Believe it or not, not every large family is like the Duggars on TV. Having a large family doesn't mean you have 20 siblings, or follow crazy matching dress codes. To be 100 percent honest, many large families are no different than smaller ones... There are just a few more of them coming from a large family definitely has its pros and cons. Luckily for me, in my house, there are far more pros than cons. These are just a few of the reasons why being part of a large family is the best thing ever.
1. There is always someone to talk to.

When you have upwards of four, five, six, or even more siblings there is very rarely a time where you are alone. Due to that, there is always someone to talk to. If you are having a problem and need advice, someone is there for you. If you just got exciting news, and are dying to share it, someone is there for you. That is a definite pro to living in close proximity with a lot of people.
2. In-laws are the best.
One of my favorite things about having a lot of siblings is now that we are growing up, we have new people coming in to the family. Honestly, two of the most influential people in my life, have been my brothers-in-law. They have taught me how I deserve to be treated, what a good guy does, and they have helped me deal with crazy guy problems. Without them, I have no idea what I would be doing with my life in college.
3. You have more than one closet.
If you are lucky like I am, you'll have siblings (who are your same gender), who are close to your age, and wear the same sizes as you. I have three sisters I can share with clothes and shoes with. It is actually the best thing ever! If I have a wedding to go to, and am hating everything I own that day, I've got a few other closets to choose from. Same goes for shoes, purses, jewelry, and absolutely anything else you can think of. I love being able to have some options other than my own when it comes to having rough clothing days, which we all have.
4. You can never be bored.
With five siblings, it's nearly impossible to be bored. There is always someone to go to the store with, watch a movie with, or to have a heart to heart with. While it is entirely possible to become bored even in a large family, it very rarely happens. And for that, I am so grateful. Especially since I have a tendency to get hecka bored when I am home alone. I have no idea what I would do without my clan of brothers and sisters.
I can not even begin to describe how blessed I am by my siblings. I love you all dearly!
