Reason's to Just Be Happy

We forget to just be happy so here is a list.

Reason's to Just Be Happy

Lately, when I get on social media I feel myself getting really down about the condition the world is in. I am not only concerned with the political side of it all, but the attitude of people, and I understand that people are just expressing their opinions, which I think is great. These days it seems the world is more divided than ever. I want to use this time to remind people there are tons of reasons to smile.

1. Puppies exist. Well, dogs in general exist.

2. Ice cream is incredible. (There are over thousands of ice cream flavors. You literally can have it any way you want).

3. You are alive. (breathe. Right there is a reason to be happy).

4. Wine is a thing.

5. Leggings are now a fashion statement... That means no pants.

6. JEGGINGS ARE COOL!!

7. Grey's Anatomy has not been cancelled. (THANK GOD)

8. They have 79 cent pops at almost any midwest gas station.

9. Gas has been cheap. (that is always a plus).

10. It is now okay to put bacon on literally everything! Bacon with your PB &J? Sure, no one judges because it is bacon.

11. A male is a cover girl! ( what an incredible time to be alive).

12. All day Netflix? Fine, No one judges.

13. Disney movie's are becoming live action.

14. Old classic sitcoms are coming back for reunions.

15. Coconut oil exists. (You literally can do anything with that stuff).

16. Cats are cool.

17. Music. Music is such a powerful underrated thing. (I think that everyone should learn to play an instrument).

18. Babies are amazing.

19. Children are amazing. ( If you need to remember what is important in the world just hang with a child).

20. You can just about get anything deep fried these days.

21. Every fast food place has a value menu. (Now that is good my friends)

22. God is good. Actually, pretty amazing.

23. Pizza can be a meal three times a day.

24. You can be anything you want to be in today's world.

25. I, as a female have the right to protest.

26. We as Americans have the right to protest. (there are many countries that do not have that right).

27. WE LIVE IN AN INCREDIBLE COUNTRY.

28. Cake is good for any occasion.

This list was meant to be relaxed, because sometimes we all need daily reminders when we are freaking out about life. We spend so much time dwelling on things that are happening that we do not like that we forget to remind ourselves of all that we do like. It is important to remember life is not that bad. Situations are not bad. We are not bad. We are simply human and we forget to enjoy the little things in this world. The little things are crucial and they are important. So literally, cherish the small things, because they do matter.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
