So, it's the end of August. Enter September, October, and November, football games, bright red, orange, and yellow leaves, acorns, pumpkins, and classes. Labor day brings midterms, but with midterms brings Halloween and eventually Thanksgiving. The air is crisp, yet warm air feels good and coffee hits the right spots. This year, I especially am looking forward to the sweater season after a really hot and humid summer.
1. Football games
With the fall comes football games, both grade school, college, and professional. There is no better feeling than enjoying a game with friends and family, either eating a bunch of calories or drinking them. Tailgating and barbecuing bring new friends, cornhole, and hoodies with our favorite teams on it. The environment of tailgating and football games is relaxing and exciting. No matter if your team is winning or losing, you can't beat the awesome memories you make.
2. The weather
Who doesn't love fall weather? It is not blazing hot, but it isn't too cold yet either! You can wear jeans and a t-shirt or rock shorts with a long sleeve and be perfectly okay. The smell of fall hits you as you head into class or work and you can actually enjoy being outside without sweating profusely or freezing your tail off. Don't forget that it's sweater season and with that, means sweaters, scarves, leggings, boots, and messy buns. The nights are cooler, of course, but they're perfect for bonfires and if you ask me, Pokemon hunting.
3. Starbucks' fall drinks
Starbucks always brings out new, seasonal drinks and it brings customer's favorites. The favorite of a lot of my friends is the Pumpkin Spice Latte. However, now it isn't way too hot to want to drink coffee, so the coffee hits the soul just right. The crisp fall mornings on the way to class with a coffee in hand feel a little less cool. Starbucks knows just how to hit the spot during these upcoming fall days.
4. Pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and bonfires
Fall brings many things, including my favorite past times - pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and bonfires. The fun of picking pumpkins and apples are enjoyed by tons of different groups of people. Pumpkin patches usually also have corn mazes and other fun activities for family, friends, and couples to enjoy. Apple orchards have fall-associated flavored foods, maple syrup, and sometimes even flowers. Bonfires are nice because they bring together your family and friends and bring good memories with good food, drinks, and smores.
5. The holidays
Halloween and Thanksgiving fall during the autumn season. Halloween allows people to be whoever they want to be for a day and Thanksgiving brings families and friends together. Everyone has their own favorite holidays and these two happen to be mine. They just have a sense of love, fun, and excitement. Soon after Thanksgiving Christmas season starts as a fall comes to a close.
Fall season is loved by many. Of course the school part sucks, but the holidays, the fun, the weather, sweater season, and favorite fall foods and drinks make fall season the ultimate favorite.
