Looking back on the past year, it is clear that I am the happiest I have ever been. This is no small accomplishment, and believe me it didn't happen over night. A lot of factors worked together to get me to the place I am in right now—to be "happy." I'd like to share with you the key factors that have gone into a happier me! Here are the six reasons why I am the happiest I have ever been.
1. My Family
My biggest supporters, my best friends and my biggest blessings. My family has always been right beside me even at my lowest. They constantly pick me up. I never have to question my worth when it comes to my loving family. I am always aware of their love. Their presence in my life makes me happy to a level I can't explain.
2. God
My relationship with the Lord has never been stronger. This is the biggest one I can attribute my happiness to. My ever growing relationship with God has brought me to a place of happiness I never even knew was possible. I am overjoyed to be His.
3.My Boyfriend
A huge one! My life completely changed when I meet my sweet boyfriend. Some people wait a life time for the love I was blessed to receive my freshman year in college. And some will never receive the amount of love I do from him. My world is a different place now that his smiling (and not to mention handsome) face is in it. I could not be more grateful for my soul mate He makes my heart so happy.
4. My Friends
My heart overflows with the love I have for these guys! Whether it be my best friend from way back at camp til now, my true best friends in high school who still have stuck around or, of course, my best friend I found in college, they make me feel so blessed. When I need a shoulder to cry on, or somebody to laugh until I cry with, they are constantly there. I love the happiness they bring to me.
5. My School
I knew from the first time I stepped foot on my campus that it was the place I was supposed to be. I don't think I've ever made a better decision than the decision to go to college where I did. The people and the atmosphere always make my day brighter. I absolutely love my school, it is where I feel safe, and, of course, happy!
6. New Love For Myself
For a good portion of my life, I have not particularly liked myself or even been nice to myself. Recently, I have faced myself head on and have learned to love the person I am. I haven't been easy to let go of negative thoughts, but I am so glad I did. Loving yourself is so important and I am happy I have done it. This has done wonders for my happiness.
Happiness is an abundance in my life this year. I am so excited to say I am the happiest I have ever been. Because of all these things, I have been blessed with, I am able to experience happiness like never before, and I think this happiness is here to stay!
