A Real Problem: The Time of Trump

We all need to come together for the next two years. We need to get cozy and comfortable. We need to do what is best for the world we are living in, for we are facing the greatest catastrophe since the Black Plague and the rise of Phil Collins. We are watching the political rise of Donald Trump, and he's bringing his hair with him.

This is not about Red states and Blue states. This is about saving ourselves. He is a fool, a clown. And yeah, I recognize that every time he does anything it is raw entertainment for the masses, but what I think people forget is that he's actually leading in the polls right now. We need to get real. We need to make sure he gets shut down. America can no longer support and fund his racism and backwards thinking. The fact that he is even competitive in the American political sphere is astounding and worrisome. The last time we saw him he was yelling about birth certificates and before that he hosted a g*ddamn reality TV show. How could we even let him think he could hold political office?

The worst part is that he could win because we, the right-minded people of the world, are doing nothing to stop him. We just sit back and laugh at him because to us, he is a joke. Realistically, though, he is not a joke. He is making moves and promoting policies that could tear us apart. He's an unapologetic racist that is trying to revoke the 14th Amendment, and yet he still has steadfast supporters with fewer teeth than fingers. If we don't do something fast, Trump could become reality, not a ridiculous joke thrust upon us by a ramshackle Republican party. Which leads me to another problem. There is really no one in that party that is competent enough to overcome his boorish qualities that have endeared him to the ignorant masses.

This leads me to believe that it is time to abandon a doomed party. Just let the ship sink, if not put more holes into it so it goes down faster. I'm not even a Democrat and this is what I think we should do. Just vote for Big Bern Sanders to put the final nail the the conservative coffin. Let us move forward into a progressive world. Even if you don't agree with his policies, let's just see what happens. I couldn't be any worse that what we've been subjected to for that past 80 years. Let's take a step towards the modern era. The problem is we have to do it together. There's no leaving behind those who are stuck in a bog of shit-for-brains. Convert. Go forth and convert. Make it happen, and then we can all breathe again.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
