11 Reasons Reading Is Good For The Soul
Caroline Opiela

People like us, we go by many names: readers, bookworms, book addicts. Some of us look for mystery and thrill, while others are in search of love and laughs. Some of us wish to gain a better understanding of the world we live in, while others only seek to escape it. No matter what or why we read, the same thing can be said for us all -- books make us better. Below is a list of reasons why books are good for the soul!

1. They help you believe in a better world.

2. They promote creativity and wit.

3. They are a healthy escape when times are tough.

4. They love you, no matter what.

5. They give you boyfriends when the world won't.

6. They make you laugh.

7. They make you cry.

8. They make you think.

9. They give you something to believe in: magic, adventure, romance.

10. They make anything seem possible.

11. They understand when you don't have time for reading, but when you do, they will be waiting.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
