Scary Movie

Humor meets horror in the film series 'Scary Movie', featuring scenes inspired by 'Scream' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'.

This parody of a horror film utilizes the narrative of both films to create a comedic recreation. Drew Decker receives a threatening phone call while home alone and is then chased outside by Ghostface before he stabs her in the breast, removing one of her silicone breast implants. Drew's father becomes distracted while driving his car, hitting her with the car before she is finally murdered by Ghostface.

The opening scene in 'Scary Movie' displays a comedic reaction to the opening scene of 'Scream' in which a young woman, played by actress Drew Barrymore, is murdered by Ghostface. The scene also presents a reaction to the opening scene of 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' when the four teenagers accidentally hit a pedestrian with their car, killing him.

By using jokes and mimicking scenes from other horror films, 'Scary Movie' exemplifies a clever and witty Halloween-themed film.

In a later sequel, 'Bride of Chucky', Chucky's former girlfriend and accomplice, Tiffany Valentine, resurrects him as they terrorize a young couple in an attempt to transfer their souls into human bodies.

With a string of ongoing films, 'Chucky' enthralls horror film fans with a riveting plot that thickens throughout the decades.

Trick 'r Treat

In a nonlinear narrative, the Halloween-themed film presents characters crossing paths throughout the film, with Sam, a peculiar trick-or-treater, appearing at the center of the story to enforce the 'rules' of Halloween.

Henry finds his wife, Emma, murdered by an unseen assailant as her corpse is put on display in their outdoor home decorations on Halloween night. Charlie, an obese vandal who smashes jack-o'-lanterns, is killed by his school principal Steven Wilkins, who spikes his Halloween candy with cyanide.

A group of trick-or-treaters, Macy, Sara, Chip, and Schrader, pull a prank on Rhonda, a Halloween fanatic, which results in Macy kicking a jack o' lantern in the quarry where eight mentally challenged children died in a school bus on Halloween. The dead children rise from the dead and Rhonda flees to the elevator to escape, leaving the bullies to die at the undead children's hands.

Laurie is attacked by a hooded sexual predator at a town festival, who is later found by Laurie's friends and unmasked, revealed as Wilkins. Laurie and her friends then transform into werewolves, devouring Wilkins. Wilkins' neighbor, an elderly man named Mr. Kreeg, scares away children to steal their candy, aided by his dog.

Sam, the 'rule enforcer' breaks into Kreeg's house, attacking him, but instead of killing him, he takes a candy bar that Kreeg offers him. One night, Christine encounters a spirit that only she can see, stating the spirit wants her family dead. Paranormal Activity

Katie and Micah move into a new house in San Diego. Since Katie claims an evil presence has been haunting her since she was a child, Micah sets up a camera in their bedroom to record any possible paranormal activity that could occur.

Katie's psychic, Dr. Fredrichs, informs her that she's being haunted by a demon intent on hurting her, warning her not to communicate with it. While Micah doubts the authenticity of his warning, their camera captures strange occurrences at night, originally consisting of noises, flicking lights, and doors moving on their own.

The paranormal activity worsens and Micah brings home an Ouija board, which the demon uses to communicate an unknown message before setting the board on fire. By the seventeenth night, the couple sets a trail of baby powder in the hallway, which leads to Micah finding a burnt photograph of a young Katie in the attic.

As the demon becomes stronger and enraged, the couple fears for their lives as they fight against the invisible force that torments and terrifies them.
