Ladies and gentleman, we have finally caught up to our TV sets and are one step closer to living life in the spectrum of rainbow-tastic color! So, if you haven't turned on your TV, lately, and you're sitting here reading this article, mumbling to yourself, "what is this girl going on about?" then listen close because the answer is -- Gay marriage has been legalized in all 50 states!

If you're not overflowing with joy because of it, I won't judge -- pinky promise. However, there are quite a few reasons why the Obergefell ruling is totally tubular, and not just because there will be more rainbow-themed weddings. For instance, any couple in a legalized marriage can visit their significant other in a hospital, and make decisions if their partner cannot. Previously, this did not apply to those in a long standing monogamous homosexual relationship, but now it does! This gives most the opportunity to have people they trust the most look after and help them in their times of need. Besides, whose better at cheering you up (especially when you're sick) other than your significant other? After all, "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!"

If this isn't a good enough of a reason, don't worry, I can comfort you a tad more. By allowing homosexual marriages, it can encourage long standing partnerships, which will reduce the number of adulterous acts, like hook-ups and one night stands. It can also contribute to a rise in adoption rates; wouldn't you rather have a kid come home to a nice loving family than live in foster care where they are constantly being moved around and rejected? According to Life Long Adoptions, an adoption agency registered through the state of California, "an estimated two million LGBT people are interested in adopting." This means that over a million kids could be saved from the foster care system.

If you're still not impressed, it's totally fine. Like I said, keep your opinions -- that's what freedom is all about. In John 13:34, Jesus said "love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." So, no matter what, I hope you're happy, and not in a passive aggressive way, like in the song "Defying Gravity" from "Wicked." I hope you can at least find some joy knowing that some smiles have been recently made! You are always welcomed to throw some streamers, eat some cake, and join us in celebration!
