No one knows me better than my friends. No one else can tell what I mean with just one little look. No one else understands my sense of humor and makes stupid inside jokes with me like my friends. No one has been with me through so much of my life and chose not to leave like my friends. The only difference between family and friends is that friends have the choice to leave, but they don't.
Here are some quotes from the show 'Friends' that describe my feelings towards my friends/ how my friends make me feel.
Have I been living with him too long or did that just make sense?
We have been friends for so long that our indiscernible babbling and random choice of phrasing makes sense to all of us somehow.
We were on a break!
No matter how many times we may fight or have disagreements/arguments with each other, we can always get back together and talk about what happened. We remember that we are always there for each other no matter what happens because we love each other so much.
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
We are all very sarcastic and helpful to each other in our own ways. Some people are better than others when helping one of us if we are crying or getting really emotional. Either way, all of us are so easy to talk to when you need advice or you just need someone to agree with what ever you are saying/doing.
If you want to receive e-mails about my upcoming shows, then please give me money so I can buy a computer.: None of us ever have money. Ever. We could work 7 days a week and still not have enough money to go to the movies. We are not like most people who are skeptical about lending money to each other because we actually trust each other to pay it back or give something back in some way.
Oh... my... god!
We can all be outrageously annoying sometimes and we all know it. I say, "Sorry" too much and never want to cause conflict (which can definitely be annoying sometimes), others may have a strange saying that gets annoying or a joke that we all know is not funny anymore, but we are all so used to each other that it doesn't matter how annoying we get, we can always take a break and regroup a couple hours later because we have separation anxiety if we don't see each other AT LEAST every 24 hours (yeah, college is going to be hard).
All right, kids, I gotta get to work. If I don't input those numbers... it doesn't make much of a difference.
Although any of us could feel like we aren't appreciated or people don't care as much about us as everyone else, we are all quick to reassure each other that we are all loved and that we all matter to each other.
Well I've had the same walk since high school and you know how when a guy walks into a room and everybody takes notice. I think I need a "take notice" walk.
Although we have grown up together and we are used to how we all act, we know that once we get to college we may change a little bit. We may want to be more outgoing or more friendly. We may seem a little different when we come back for vacation, but that is all a part of growing up! We will change and grow, but we will always know that we are best friends. We will always fit in with each other, no matter how much we may change over the years we are apart.
Hey, if we were in prison, you guys would be like my bitches.
We do things for each other, we talk shit about people who are rude to us, we give each other advice and we know each other so well. If I tell my friend she shouldn't go out with anyone right now, she has a new boyfriend the next day. If I tell my friend that a certain person is getting really annoying, they become intolerable the next day. We all help each other by making sure we are happy and surrounded by the best people we possibly could be surrounded by. We are all concerned about how college will be for us but we know that once we get back here we will be hanging out every day and telling everyone the drama we have been a part of that they will not know anything about. It will be great!
These quotes may not seem like they relate to friendships, but I know that in most quotes from this show I can connect the humor and love to the relationship I have with my friends. I truly love and admire them and I want to be there with them throughout everything that they do. I cannot wait to see what they will accomplish with their lives. I want to be able to talk to them all of the time like I do now. I know that it might seem hard to leave each other now, but we are all going to get to experience a new surrounding and make tons of new friends and be able to come back and tell each other everything. If I make any friends in college that are anything like the friends I have right now, I will be the luckiest girl in the world.
Although, no one can beat the real FRIENDS. ;)
