Quotes For The Difficult People In Your Life

“Nine out of 10 times people treat you like crap, they feel like crap. Don’t take on their internal struggle. Send them off with peace.” -Unknown

This is one of my top 10 quotes ever. It is so difficult to come to this conclusion in life because we are so focused on how people treats us affects US that we forget how it might be affecting them. I have come to the conclusion that mostly people try to bring you down so that you join them in their darkness, and it is so easy to fall into their trap. However, once you keep this in mind, every snarky or negative comment that comes your way, you have to keep this in the top of your brain process and remember it always so that you can be more confident in your decisions, your mind, your body and your life. Also, Eleanor Roosevelt said: “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” So don’t let people make you feel inferior, because most probably, they are the ones that feel down.

“I align myself with people who support my growth. If you meet someone whose soul is not aligned with yours, send them love and move along.” -Wayne Dyer

First of all, let’s begin that if you ever want to feel better about the world around you, Wayne Dyer is your man. Whenever I feel sad or unwanted in this great and tremendous earth, I sit down and here one of his audiobooks or read over my notes about any of his books that I have read. However, sticking to this quote, sometimes we just have to realize that not everyone is meant to be part of our lives. There is another quote that aligns with that one that says: “Some people are to last you a lifetime and others are to last you a lesson.” The most difficult part is admitting that those people are not meant to be in your life anymore, but once you come to that realization, half of the job is already done. Trust yourself and trust the power you have to let go of people that bring you down instead of up.

“At your absolute best, you still won’t be won’t be good enough for the wrong person. At your absolute worst, you’ll still be good enough for the right person.” -Karen Salmansohn

People who deserve your presence because they understand it and value it are the ones worth keeping. One of the reasons you keep feeling down might be because of all of the wrong people that are around you. There is a saying in my country that goes: “Tell me who you are with and I will tell you who you are” and it is so true. You are a sum total of your actions and your acquaintances, so choose your friends wisely.

“Your value does not decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth.” -Anonymous

Just reemphasizing how important it is to have the correct people around you. If they cannot see your worth, why have them? Simple as that! Let yourself be the best person you can be and forget about the people that bring you down. They are not worth your energy.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
