Everyone has those days where everything is their fault no matter what the circumstance might be. Somehow, some way, at some time, everything goes wrong. You may find yourself practically on your knees just apologizing over and over again. You may be saying sorry when you don't mean it or when you don't need to say it. Here are five times you shouldn't say you're sorry:
1. When it actually has nothing to do with you
Your best friend in the entire world just broke up with her boyfriend. Let's be honest, you saw it coming. Don't say that you're sorry for her, no one wants to hear that when a relationship is on its outs, because nine times out of 10, that's what he just said to her for breaking her heart.
2. For chasing your dreams and goals
We all have that one relative or close family friend who thinks everything we say isn't good enough for them to hear. Going to college to be a teacher myself, I always get the response, "You're not going to make much money," "Good luck finding a job for that around here," and so on and so forth. Forget them! This is your dream, you are in college in that major for a reason. Chase down your degree, this is your dream!
3. For loving someone
Who cares if you don't end up getting married and having gorgeous babies together, it doesn't matter. Live in the present! Fall in love as many times as your heart wants, despite what other people say! You should be happy that you are blessed enough to fall in love for reasons someone else may not understand. Who you wish to love is your business. It doesn't even matter if they love you back, good for you for being able to take a chance to fall in love.
4. For your imperfections
So what if you have a few flaws, everyone does. The world would be a pretty boring place if everyone was perfect and nothing went wrong. Some day you will come across someone that sees your "imperfections" as cute little quirks. Embrace your crooked teeth, show off the freckles on your nose, brag about the fact that you can touch your tongue to your nose. Who cares? Someone out there thinks you're beautiful.
5. For having high expectations
It is perfectly okay to have high expectations and to hold others to the same standards that you live by. You work hard and you expect others to do the same, you rock for having the confidence to know that some people may not live up to your expectations. But be able to adjust when someone's expectations go higher than you thought. You care about yourself and others around you, so I know you will push to be your best.
