On November 15th, 2017, the producer of the Vans Warped Tour music festival, Kevin Lyman announced that the last cross country Warped Tour will be in the upcoming year, 2018.

Warped Tour is a traveling music festival that includes a variety of music genres, Youtubers, and non-profit organizations. Happening mostly in the summer, most punk kids would dream about the day Warped Tour came to town. Warped Tour was known for kids to have the best day ever.

The first Warped Tour I have ever been to was in June of 2014. My best friend and I woke up at the break of dawn to get ready and make sure we were prepared for the best day ever. During that hour drive, I was exploding with excitement and nervousness since it was my first time there. My best friend was watching me from the back seat laughing at how much I was freaking out.

Once we arrived, it was just like everything I've ever dreamed about. Since I live in Arizona, most people were wearing very little clothing. The smell of sunscreen filled the air and everywhere you went you could hear music.

Warped Tour is where I got to see my favorite bands for the first time. Real Friends, Mayday Parade, and Yellowcard are all in that list. I met so many of the Youtubers that I looked up to, one being Damon Fizzy. We walked around all day and collected anything that was free. Free stickers, sun glasses, CD's, and water bottles. There was even a waterslide/obstacle course you could run if you needed to cool down from the blazing Arizona heat.

For 9 hours, we walked up and down the rows of tents and stopped by a few stages on the way to catch a set or two.

At the end of the night when the bands signed off and thanked us for coming, we climbed into my mom's Kia and didn't speak a word due to the exhaustion. When I got home though, a spurt of energy rushed through me and I dumped out my backpack to see all the things I had gathered throughout the time I spent there. While I was looking at all my autographs, I realized I had the best day ever.

Since then, I've always wanted to attend Warped again but my schedule never allowed me to. I would think about the future and how I couldn't wait to drop off my kids there to have the best day ever, then to fall asleep on the car ride home.

Next year will be the final year Warped Tour rolls around the country and I will be taking my new best friend, and my boyfriend to their first, and last Warped Tour in hope that they have the

best

day

ever.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
