Fall. The season where every girl get's made fun of for doing "basic fall activities." Since when is it okay to be teased for going to a pumpkin patch? Or to wear sweaters and boots while drinking a pumpkin spice latte? Which brings me to my next point: the pumpkin obsession. Personally, I have never been too obsessed with "pumpkin spice". One of my friends this year even said to me "I'm so surprised you don't love pumpkin spice, you're one of the most basic people I know." Oh. So then I tried it again and liked it, so yes, I will drink a pumpkin spice coffee if I absolutely have to. After accepting my "basicness," I started to realize how much unnecessary pumpkin spice items there are in the fall and it's getting to be a little too much. When you go to the grocery store in the fall, everywhere you turn is pumpkin spice this, pumpkin spice that.

1. Pumpkin Spice Hair

I saw an article about this the other day. Don't get me wrong, I think red hair is gorgeous, but if you dye your hair orange to be "fall trendy," I just think YOU won most basic award.

2. Pumpkin Spice Dog Food

What did your dog ever do to you?

3. Pumpkin Spice Vodka

Are you serious?

4. Pumpkin Spice Oreos

I don't trust anyone who doesn't prefer double stuffed over any other type of Oreo.

5. Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows

I haven't tried these, but maybe they have potential to be good in a s'more!

6. Pumpkin Spice English Muffins

Nothing like some artificially pumpkin flavored bread! But it's limited edition, so get it while it lasts!

7. Pumpkin Spice Pop Tarts

For your everyday sugary breakfast pumpkin needs!

8. Pumpkin Spice M&Ms

I'm running out of stuff to say about this. How do they even make this happen? Has anyone ever tried this before and does it REALLY taste like pumpkin? (The M&M's face really says it all.)

9. Pumpkin Spice Sausage

Sorry, vegetarians: you can't your pumpkin spice fix this way! Also WHO thought to make sausage pumpkin spice?

10. Pumpkin Spice Feminine Products

I am not sure if this is an internet joke or not, but I REALLY hope it's a joke.

11. Pumpkin Spice Cookies

You can't go wrong with cookies. Well, maybe sometimes, but I bet these aren't too bad.

12. Pumpkin Spice Kale Chips

For all you healthy people who want to get some pumpkin in your life, just eat some kale chips!

13. Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Okay, I am a fan of this product because who wants to pay $4 for a PSL everyday? Not me!

14. Pumpkin Spice Gum

Interesting.....

15. Pumpkin Spice Yogurt

I bet this is actually pretty good, too.

16. Pumpkin Spice Hummus

Sorry, but I will not be trying this one out.

17. Pumpkin Spice Shampoo

Because who doesn't LOVE smelling like pumpkins?!

18. Pumpkin Spice Lotion

Again, why not smell like a pumpkin while drinking PSLs?

19. Last, but certainly not least: all hail the Pumpkin Spice Latte

The original. The best. The reason for all the madness.

Is it Christmas time yet?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
