Being a young lady that loves fall, you'd think I would go gaga for pumpkin spice lattes like everyone else. Honestly, you couldn't be more wrong. Pumpkin is a solid and should stay in a solid form and not be mixed with coffee. End of story. I'm all for any pumpkin flavored foods, but drinks? No Way Rose!
To me, there are three different types of people who drink coffee,
- The ones that want the blackest, darkest, thickest coffee there is
- The hand-crafters, (e.i. Lattes, macchiato, frappuccino..)
- The trendy people who only get coffee when everyone else does. For example; the PSL-ers.
I like to see myself as a Starbucks goer not because it's the trendy thing to do, but because I actually love their coffee and teas. It drives me insane when I go into my usual Starbucks and see 10 teenagers that I have never seen in the store before, all ordering pumpkin spice lattes. Incase you all did not know this, Starbucks always has the ingredients to whip up your disgustingly beloved trendy fall drink. The only difference is, September first is when they actually advertise that "it's back." I also want to point out the amount of fat, caffeine, and sugar in the drink, you may have to run a mile after consumption.PSL Nutritional Facts
Bottom line, if you're one of those trendy people that only go to Starbucks when the overrated pumpkin spice latte is out, please stop immediately and get your fix from McDonald's. It's much cheaper and could possibly taste better.
