Cats: you can't live with them, but you can't live without them. I guess I like cats so much because they remind me of myself: my don't give a hoot attitude, and my tendency sleep all day and occasionally wake up for food. Even though cats are very independent, they still take a lot of work and you need to think about the pros and cons before owning one as a pet.
Pros:
1. They're chill.
Cats have the most chill attitude of any of the pets I've ever owned. You'll normally find your cat in a corner doing nothing.
2. They're dumb.
Being dumb is a pro because it adds entertainment for you. Your cat won't realize that they're seeing themselves in a mirror or that the red light on the wall is actually a laser.
3. They get scared easily.
Once again, this is a pro because it is amusing to you. Yes, it's a little sad when they get so scared, but it's mostly hilarious.
4. They're cute.
Although kittens are the cutest creatures to ever walk this planet, they're not the only thing cute about cats. All cats are cute. A cat can do something as simple as yawn and I'd think it was the cutest thing I've ever seen.
5. They kill creepy crawly bugs.
No need to worry about spiders crawling around the house when you have a cat walking around.
6. They can be very affectionate.
I live for the moments that my cats snuggle with me.
7. They're funny.
Cons:
1. They'll scratch the shit out of you.

2. Everything is on their terms.

3. Their litter box stinks.
Even if you clean the litter box every day, you're still going to smell it after the cat does his thing.
4. They shed.
Don't expect to wear anything black if you own a cat.
All in all, cats are amazing and you should definitely own one if you're up to dealing with their craziness.
