Reality TV is the easiest and most effective way to forget your own reality. With shows like "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," there can never be a dull moment. But when you factor in beauty, wealth, exotic locations and a proposal, reality TV just got a little bit better. That's right, I'm talking about ABC's "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," two shows that are a definite guilty pleasure. It takes a lot for me to admit that I watch these, but every now and again it's nice to forget my own problems and mindlessly watch someone else struggle with life and decision-making, and Season 12 of "The Bachelorette" is no exception. It is full of surprises, memories, and "oh my God" moments, so in honor of Monday's finale here are just a few (believe me, there's plenty more) of the pros and cons of this season's "Bachelorette."
Pros:
1. After her brutal exit from Ben Higgins' season, JoJo definitely deserved a chance to find her soul mate.
2. The dresses.
3. The drama.
I mean with 25 guys living in one house and fighting for her love, drama is to be expected
4. The men tell all episode.
One of my personal favorites because I love hearing the men voice their opinions on the show, JoJo, and their male opponents.
5. Chris Harrison.
He handles everything like a champ.
6. Chad.
He's a real estate agent from Oklahoma, but his ego is the size of Canada. Every time Chad was on the show, testosterone was pumping and the fists were bound to be flying. He made sure there was never a dull moment.
7. James T.
He was adorable and genuine. There was just something about this gentle singer that viewers just couldn't help but fall in love. He was gone too soon, but we all understand why.
8. The group dates.
JoJo picked some really exciting things for the men to do, such as sand surfing, ESPN, seeing the culture of their current city and even playing soccer. Everything they did helped relieve a little bit of the tension which was a breath of fresh air for the viewers at home.
9. Exotic locations.
JoJo picked some pretty exotic locales to take the remaining men the last couple of weeks. From Uruguay to Argentina to Thailand, the men got to see the world as the journey to win JoJo's heart.
10. The men.
Let's be honest, the men are what make the season entertaining and worth watching. Viewers may love watching JoJo, but a definite pro was her crop of men fawning over her. They were hardworking, sincere (mostly), athletic, smart, funny, genuine (again, mostly), and above all a delight to watch as they fell head over heels for a woman who may (but probably doesn't) love them back.
Cons:
1. The tears.
JoJo cries way too much and at the most inopportune moments. We know you're upset over your decision to let so-and-so go, but crying about it doesn't make the problem go away.
2. JoJo is pretty but would it kill her to not wear something skimpy all the time? No wonder the guys are fighting for her when she lets it all hang out.
3. The alcohol.
Not as much as Ben's season but still, y'all might want to slow down or you'll forget that special moment!
4.The food.
They waste so much food!
5. Chad.
While the drama surrounding him was highly entertaining, it was also extremely annoying. Violence is never the answer and as a grown man he should've known that and handled the issues better. Clearly, he was all about TV time.
6. Jordan Rodgers aka "Baby Rodgers."
He's gorgeous and an athlete, but it's hard to not judge someone based on his family ties and the fact that JoJo continually picked group dates fitted to his skills.
7. Luke's goodbye.
He told her that he loved her only to have her say that it wasn't enough to get him to the fantasy suite dates. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late but we can't help but hurt for him!
8. Saying goodbye to Chase.
This is a definite con! JoJo let Chase break all his walls down knowing full well how difficult it would be for him, only to send him home. After inviting him into the fantasy suite. Major con!
9. The last men standing.
They're both ex-athletes and not lacking in the looks department. As if any of the "Bachelorette" fans are surprised by this final pairing.
10. The rose ceremonies.
Even though they are a necessary aspect to the show, no viewer at home wants to see their favorite man be voted off because JoJo doesn't see a future with him. Yeah, I'm still bitter about both Luke and Chase being sent home!
