In case you've been living under a rock or you're Milo Yiannopoulos (say that five times fast), you've most likely been exposed to the Taylor Swift / "Famous" / Kanye / Kim K / Violation of California Phone Conversation Privacy Laws / Selena why are you trying to defend this girl, whatever we'll get to that later into this article, OK back to the point war.
While I'm sure you've gathered your own thoughts, I'd like you to take a trip down memory lane with me and experience all the tea one "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" GIF at a time.
When first gathering information:
What I knew: Kanye got messy giving a throw back to "the greatest diss of all time" (if you don't know what I'm talking about, just educate yourself).
But
Kanye had supposedly gone through the process of getting Swift's approval to use the lyric in his song, something in no way necessary to release the song.
Kim and Kanye both have specific memories of their interaction with Swift on the subject.
T-Swizzle (supposedly) dissed these statements, saying she never gave consent and was hurt by the use of the line in "Famous."
When Twitter started heating up with thoughts/responses:
Just like the 2016 Presidential election, you can get lots of unbiased and researched information on recent current events directly from Twitter.
Ha.
But you can find some bits of pure comedy gold. Some of my favorites:
When Kim K went there and exposed that "Tear Drops on My Guitar" scoundrel.
Kim (albeit defying California law) released a video from Kanye's songwriting process footage on Snapchat of Kanye definitively speaking to Swift about the song. Was she aware of the exact specifics of the lyric? Not sure. But she surely did make a desperate post trying to claim all of statements were made on a technicality (one word changes the entire situation, your consent, etc.?).
"#KimExposedTaylorParty" - should she have posted it? Maybe not. Was it absolute savagery? Sure.
But we couldn't expect anything less.
She's been known for that kinda thing.
