It has arrived. It is time to begin studying for that huge test that you have next week. You were aware that the test was coming up in the near future, but you just have not wanted to think about it.
If asked if you want to start studying for the test together by someone in your class, your initial response is like Phoebe Buffay's.
You are still in denial of the test and how much information you have to learn for it. Also, you have no sense of where to start when it comes to studying.
Some time goes by and the test date is now only a few days away. You know that you have to start studying now. You begin to go through your notes and the study guide and every question seems like new information. You begin to wonder if you were ever sitting in class and listening to the same lectures. Clearly, your professor believes you were based on the study guide.
So now you're looking at all of the new information and trying to make an outline. You feel like nothing makes sense anymore and you are even more lost than you were before. Your books and notes are spread all over your desk and your laptop has about 20 tabs open. You feel like all of the information is consuming you. You feel trapped.
It's now hours before the test and you feel like you cannot take in any more information. There's still some information you can't remember or it doesn't make any sense, but you decide you did the best that you can and you are going to rely on logic. There's nothing else left to do except hope for the best.
