Donald J. Trump has many things, from money and fame, to buildings and fabulous hair. Yet for a man who has it all, he's sure missing some basic requirements before he can rightfully sit in the Oval Office:
1. A diplomatic character
As a country founded by immigrants, the United States of America has always been a place where no matter where you come from or who you are, you can make something of yourself. So logically, any person aspiring to be President of such country, must be a supporter of constructive immigration policy and opportunities for people who just want to work and pull their families through, right? Well, Donald Trump has managed to piss off an entire country and millions of Latin Americans with his remarks about such immigrants: "They are bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." Isn't that sweet?
This is aside from the fact that the second China makes a trade deal that benefits them more than it does us, he'll go nuclear on them faster than you can say "Trump International Hotel and Tower."
2. The right experience
Not anyone can be President. It requires knowledge of the economy and law, a desire to help the hardworking middle-class, a passion for justice and equality and the determination to uphold human rights. However, it seems Trump's definition of "Making America Great Again" is better trade deals with China and building a wall along the Mexican border.
Picture this: President Trump proposes a project to the Senate. The Senate rejects it. Next day, a letter goes out that all Senators and their aids are banned from any building with the word "Trump" on it.
3. The people's respect
No candidate will ever have the people's unanimous support. Yet, to be President of the United States, the Commander-in-Chief, you need at least some respect. You need the respect of the millions of Americans that you represent, the respect of the Congress that you want to work with, the respect of the other world leaders that you want to maintain peace with, and the respect for yourself to have the confidence to run a country.
But there has to be something wrong with the self-respect of a man who allows this picture to happen:
4. A reason to vote for him
When asked why he should be running for President, Trump's response was something along the lines of "I'm rich, I do good deals, look at my hotels, this administration doesn't work, lets cut ties with Mexico and make America great again." There's no platform. There's no motivation to help the hardworking middle class. There's no real reason for him to run, aside from the fact that he's bored of just making money.
5. Common Sense
There are only two possible explanations for the disastrous two weeks that Trump has had since announcing his candidacy on June 16: he has no common sense, or his campaign manager hates him.
All jokes aside, it will be very entertaining to continue watching Trump make us laugh until someone wins the Republican nomination and he goes back to firing celebrities.
