The Power Of Surrounding Yourself With Positive People

Negativity tends to play a big aspect in people’s everyday lives. It shouldn’t. But why does this happen? To be completely honest, it has to do with the people you surround yourself with. Which is why, for starters, you need to learn to surround yourself with positive people, because it ends in the result of so much more than you could ever imagine.

The people you surround yourself with have an impact and controlling power of your life.

Someone who surrounds themselves with nothing but negative and toxic people, who do nothing but cause pain or put you down, are most certainly not going to be living life to the fullest, going about each day by day with a smile stretched across their face.

But isn't life supposed to be all about happiness and finding the beauty on and within every aspect? For the most part, yes.

Of course, there are going to be obstacles here and there, sad times, it isn’t going to go your way all of the time. But one thing you can do to make an impact on your own is the people you surround yourself with.

Drop the negative people and gain the positive souls. The people who reflect you. The ones who have dreams, desires and ambition. The ones who will do nothing but help you push for and realize your own.

I can’t even begin to explain how much of an impact this will have on your everyday life.

You’ll go from living each day being put down and having the feeling of so much you want to change, but with a positive mind that feeling will end up being more of just a thought. Followed by a positive reaction with a positive outcome. You end up being the change that’s always been just a thought. You feel inspired to succeed to the highest and be the greatest you can be.

The power of surrounding yourself with positive people is a power of no other.

When you free yourself from negative people, you free yourself to be you, which is truly the only way you should live.

You’ll learn to love the life you live.

Positive people bring out the best in you, make you happy, make you laugh. They help you when you're in need and genuinely care. They encourage you to go after your dreams and applaud you once you succeed.

The power of positive souls in your life makes you become someone who feels good about themselves and their everyday lives, inspired. You gain self-respect and confidence.

Seems like to me, it's time to drop the negativity and gain the positivity, because it has so much more to offer.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
