Post Malone Puts on an incredible performance for chicago

Chicago continually hosts some of the biggest artists in the world at venues in the city. Whether it's Taylor Swift or Logic, fans come from all around to see these artists perform in the city of Chicago. This past week, Chicago hosted Post Malone at the Northerly Island Pavilion. Fans flooded into the park to see Post perform his hits along with tracks from his new album. I was beyond excited to attend and photograph the event!

The tour openers include Paris, SOB x RBE, and 21 Savage. Paris kicked things off and performed for the eager crowd as they waited for Post Malone. The fans seemed to really enjoy Paris and showed him love throughout his set. SOB x RBE performed next and they did their thing. With a squad of about five, they showed everyone what they were about. 21 Savage was the last act before Post Malone came to the stage. He performed some of his biggest hits like X and Bank Account which really hyped the audience up. This wasn't the last time we would see 21 Savage before the night was over.

Post Malone came out to his infamous track "Too Young" and had the fans singing their hearts out. He continued on to perform new tracks "Better Now" and "Takin Shots." It's only been a few weeks since the release of his new album "Beerbongs & Bentleys" and the fans knew every word!

One of the best parts of the show was when Posty brought out the guitar and played a few acoustic songs. Austin started by playing "Feeling Whitney" and the energy at the venue was unreal. He went on to play "Stay" which the audience loving. These two tracks showed fans a different side of Post and it was refreshing to see. He really poured his heart out in these acoustic songs and we all felt it. Post also showed the other side of him when he performed "I Fall Apart." This song gained a ton of popularity almost a year after the release of his debut album "Stoney." This was possibly the song that the audience loved the most. As soon as he said he was performing it next, the crowd lit up with phone lights. Every single word could be heard if they cut out the music and Post stopped singing.

Post finished off his set with "rockstar" and "Congratulations." 21 Savage came out for "rockstar" and the audience was ecstatic. The song finished off with 21 smashing a guitar on stage! He and Post showed everyone what it's like to really be a rockstar. He finished the night off with "Congratulations" and before he performed it he talked about his experience with people saying he wouldn't make it. Post told everyone to follow their dreams and do whatever they want to do in life. He followed by giving the audience one more track with "Congratulations."

Post Malone's performance completely surpassed the high expectations I had. He is a true performer and it's clear when you have the chance to see it for yourself. Posty will be back in Chicago for Lollapalooza during the first week of August. If you missed his show this time, you don't want to miss it again!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
