Maybe you wouldn’t be enthusiastically inclined to choose porn star. Maybe you would rather be a gorgeous, yet mildly more conservative supermodel with a public fan base of millions. The choice is yours. However, there is a better choice. The better choice is porn star, but there’s a fundamental need to know why. These specialty actors and actresses know the consequences that follow the brevity of their career choice to put themselves out there, yet they take that leap anyway. They’re unafraid of the pitfalls, and drive by the possibility for success. Success can be measured in a number of ways: for a porn star it is money or fame, while in this case it is a better life. Selecting porn star over supermodel would be better for your health and happiness, among other things (not including the amount of male attention you may receive. Get your head out of the gutter!). Instead of this being attributed to naked bodies and uncensored images, the reason for porn star being more destined for achievement than a supermodel is due to the naked truth, and having an unfiltered personality.
Having a filter has always been a life skill suggested to us since we were teenagers, but doing so can be detrimental to your potential. Being unfiltered in your personality and speech can help you get healthy; increase your happiness; find who your true friends are; and save you time. If you’ve never seen the movie The Invention of Lying, you wouldn’t know what this would be like; but then, you’re also missing out. If you have, you’d know just how harsh unfiltered life can sometimes be. Yet at the same time, there are apparent rewards. As long as you aren’t overly sensitive or shallowly reliant on what your friends think, these rewards can be as promising as tremendous articulate freedom, and access to a limitless vocabulary.
Just like porn stars are unfiltered to get what they want, so too can you. Being unfiltered could help to get you healthy. Say you go to your doctor, concerned about something that’s kind of, well, embarrassing. If you are completely honest and reveal all the details, your doctor’s going to have a much easier time finding the origin of the problem, which means fixing it is therefore easier. Being shy may not get you those same results. Being unfiltered could increase your happiness too! If you’re lucky, you may notice that you hear a lot more laughter from people. They’ll start telling you how funny you are, and you’ll soak up that new attention like nobody’s business. For a lot of people this works to make new friends, gain new followers, and have a few more people think you’re a protégée of hilarity. On the other hand, you could lose some friends who just don’t appreciate your newfound honesty. But then, what do you care, you’ve got new friends who revel in your humor to take their place. Those new friends think you’re funny because they’re unfiltered as well; so they’ll let you know if they hate you or love you. These people will come to you for advice because they know you’ll give it to them straight. Don’t fool yourself if you think you won’t be waiting: you know how to rule it out and tell it like it is. The last addition to this new and improved life is saving time by having unconstrained honesty. Being so efficient at getting answers, no time will be wasted beating around the bush. Getting straight to the point will reveal to be so much easier than easing into a conversation deemed socially unacceptable. The discovery of information from various sources will flow like a raging river.
Now there are some shortcomings to being so outwardly opinionated, so this advice has to be taken on a case-by-case basis. As much as advocating for this lifestyle change could be beneficial, it could just as equally be harmful. Take, for example, Donald Trump. He may be a model for getting what he wants and when he wants it, but he is what I would like to term as blindly unfiltered. Standing firmly for what you believe is only well executed under the assumption that you’ve done your research and you’ve based your judgments next to facts and truths. In other words, unapologetic is permissible so long as it is intelligent. Proceed with caution.
Still, I encourage against the choice to be a supermodel, no matter how drop-dead gorgeous it might be. Composed eloquence is a thing of the distant colonial past. Today, you need this personality type to reap the extended benefits from ignoring that little word filter inside of you. As well as you may try to extract these same advantages from a poised and decorous behavior, it won’t work. Porn star or mediocre is the real choice, and it’s up to you.
