As they say, hindsight is 20/20.

Depending on who you supported for the election, it's either been a fantastic week, or one of the worst weeks of your life. Donald Trump's out-of-left-field victory shocked many Americans on election night, and Hillary Clinton's defeat has more than likely sent a clear message to the Democratic party: they needed a different candidate.

Regardless of whether you believe the Podesta email assertions that the primaries were unfair or if you place the blame on the DNC's controversial "superdelegate" system, it was tough to watch Bernie Sanders get knocked out of the race. For myself, I respected his strong belief in his own policies and his desire to move away from the scandals that inevitably surface during an election. But for those of you who are disappointed in Bernie's defeat, there may be hope over the horizon.

Sanders, fighting under a banner of 'political revolution' during the primaries, was defeated by Clinton. He then threw support behind her with the belief that she would help continue his revolution. However, that revolution may not be finished. "Four years is a long time from now," Sanders told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "We'll take one thing at a time, but I'm not ruling out anything."

Sanders has a tough road ahead if he truly hopes to run again in 2020. Come 2018, he'll be fighting for re-election to the Senate, and he'll have to keep rolling over the next two years if he hopes to enter the fray of another Presidential election. It won't be easy for the 75-year-old senator. If he can't win back his spot in the Senate, then there's almost no way that Sanders could contend for a Presidency.

Although progressives may feel betrayed by Sanders after his endorsement of Clinton following the primaries, I believe the Democrats shouldn't rule out Sanders. Though whether or not he would've defeated Trump is all hypothetical, it's clear that Clinton was not the candidate voters in critical swing states wanted on the blue side of the ticket. If she was, then she more than likely would've seen more success at the polls on Tuesday.

The DNC has a lot of ground to make up if they hope to take Washington back from the Republicans in 2020. Following a questionable primary and a deafening defeat in the primaries, the Democratic party has to very carefully evaluate its strategies going forward and determine the best course of action for getting back into the White House. Though the Democrats felt that Hillary Clinton would be the key to their success in the election, there was too much doubt in the minds of voters going into election night, and that's where they fell short.

I believe that Sanders is an excellent choice for the Democrats to lean on in 2020, if he chooses to run again. Sanders represents bipartisan ideals, as he's seen success across the aisle during his time in the Senate. Proposals from a President Sanders would more than likely see positive response from both Democrats and Republicans in the legislative branch.

Not only that, but I believe that voters became complacent due to the aggressive nature of the Clinton vs. Trump matchup. While Bernie was never one to back down from a challenge, he seemed more civil than the two candidates' performance in the Presidential debates. This in of itself made people care less and less about the debates, since they turned into mudslinging contests rather than civilized discussions. Presidential debates aren't always about insulting your opponents. We can see that they are very formal events, especially looking at past debates such as Barack Obama vs. John McCain, or even when Obama was against Mitt Romney.

It's very understandable if you're frustrated or even afraid of the results from the election this year. America has become a divided country over the past few years, and that divide has slowly widened, no thanks to the political sphere. But, for Sanders supporters, the revolution is far from over. You may just have to wait until 2020 to march again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
