We have all experienced the relentless hype of "Pokemon GO."

It started slowly. First, the video gamers were the only ones who had it. Then it leaked to the kids who remembered playing Pokemon back in second grade. Next were the girls who had to see what the hype was about. And then there are people like me, who download the game to prove to everyone that "Pokemon GO" is no big deal. This same person becomes a closet addict overnight.

Last week, my friend and I drove by Landis and saw a group of at least 30 people walking in unison, all on the hunt for the ever-so-sought-after Pokemon. It was then that I realized that this was more than just a game; it was an epidemic.

Allow me to further explain:

  1. A girl literally found a dead body while hunting for Pokemon.

  2. Eight (plus) robberies have been committed at "Pokemon GO" hot spots.

  3. Gamers are accidentally getting exercise for the first time.
  4. A man accidentally stumbled upon a drug deal playing "Pokemon GO."

  5. "Pokemon Go Porn" is one of the most highly searched things in the last week.

  6. People are being sent into some bizarre locations (because Pokemon hunting in a graveyard shouldn't be a thing).

  7. Military men on the front lines... catching them all.
  8. Nintendo is getting back on the charts financially (the time to buy stocks is now).

  9. "Pokemon GO" is being used way more than Tinder.

  10. You know how bathrooms are for paying customers only? Well, now Pokemon catching is for paying customers only.

  11. The Tallahassee Police Department's (not even dramatic) status on "Pokemon GO."

  12. A man caught a Pidgey as his wife was giving birth. No, I'm not kidding.

  13. On July 14, the first major car crash due to "Pokemon GO" happened in New York.
  14. A man's girlfriend broke up with him when he asked her to hold the train so he could catch a Pokemon.

  15. The location feature on the app ended yet another relationship (players gonna play)

  16. People in New York City create a new job market: getting paid to catch your Pokemon

  17. When Nintendo made sure this job was shut down (number 16), people started offering Pokemon Training Services
  18. And then of course, Pokemon Chauffeur Services

To all the players, best of luck catching them all.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
