Since its release, Pokémon Go has been taking over the internet and our daily lives. There have been so many mixed reviews over the app. There are people who absolutely love the game, and there are also those that believe it's used by the government to track our every move and steal all the information from our Google accounts. Either way you see it, there is no denying the fact that this augmented reality game is a game changer.

As a Pokémon newbie, I have nothing but good things to say about this game. I had never dealt with anything Pokémon related before the release of this app. When it came out though, I couldn't resist the pull of the free app. I was honestly very curious how this whole thing "augmented reality" thing would work. Like many who downloaded the app, once I got past the screen that declared the servers were down, I got up off the couch and actually walked.

There have already been so many testimonies from people who increased their exercise just by playing this game. My friends and I got out the other night and walked around town for two hours just catching any Pokémon we found and hitting every Pokestop we came across. There are people everywhere that are forced to get up and move and explore thanks to this new game. This is probably one of the most beneficial things to come out of this little game.

Another thing that's beneficial about Pokémon Go, is that you meet so many people while out on a Pokémon hunting adventure. I've done everything from have nice, passing conversation with strangers who are playing, been interviewed by a guy doing a social experiment on the Pokémon teams, and have just run around town with my friends, hitting every Pokestop we can find. If you're being safe, this is a great way to make new friends and be social even though you're staring down at your phone trying to track Pokémon.

We've all seen some of the strange articles around of people being robbed and finding dead bodies due to this game. So saying this again seems important. If you're being safe, this game is really fun. But because it's a game that requires you to go outside and interact with the world, safety is the number one concern for most players. I think it's sad that we need to be concerned with being mugged while playing Pokémon Go in the first place, but sadly that's the world we live in now.

Like many players, I'm excited to see all of the updates that come for this app in the future. It seems like something that can really change the way we play on our phones and interact with the world. So with all that said, there's only one more thing to say...

Go Team Mystic.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
