As I am sure most of you have already heard, there is a new game coming out in 2016. "Pokémon Go" is a very exciting new addition to the Pokémon games that have been oh-so-popular over the years. This new game will be paired to smartphones and have a little Pokéball bracelet to help with the gameplay. It is very reminiscent of the Pokewalker that was around a few years ago. This new game will be a great way to really be able to interact with the Pokémon in a new and really fun way!
Now, I’m not sure if you truly understand how exciting this new game is, so I will let you take a brief pause in this article to watch the game trailer for it. Click on the really pretty picture. Go on. I’ll wait.

WASN’T THAT AMAZING? Obviously the gameplay won’t be as extravagant as the video but the concept is such an amazing idea that I’m really surprised it hasn’t already been done. I’m so pumped for it. Here are some of the reasons why I am eagerly waiting an official release date.
1. Actually “catching” Pokémon
Ever since I started playing the Pokémon games, I wanted nothing more than to actually be able to catch a Pokémon and keep them with me at all times. It would just be so cute to have a little Pokémon friend with you to hang out with and entertain you. With this game, you will be able to catch them and keep them in your phone so they will be with you at all times. Which is freaking adorable. If they bring Pokémon Amie (that was introduced in Pokémon XY) into this game it would make it that much more appealing. Being able to pet and feed your Pokémon through the app would be wonderful.
2. Going on adventures
Another amazing thing about playing the games was always feeling like you were on an adventure. Now, with this game, you will be able to actually go on your own adventure to find the Pokémon in the wild. How cool is that? Actually doing all the work of a true Pokémon trainer. Yes, you can now brag to all your friends that you are a true Pokémon trainer. Congratulations.
3. Training and Battling
As seen in the video, there are ways that you can battle with other people, which just looks intense as anything and seems like so much fun. Imagine, you’re sitting in a class and you see that someone is trying to battle with you. It would be a best excuse to ignore your professor for a few minutes. (Just kidding. We are adults! No ignoring your professor!) I would also imagine that battling would help train your cute little Pokémon friends.
4. Trading
Trading has been something that has connected people in a really fun and different way. It was always interesting to see how far away some of the people you would trade with were. Now, you will be able to trade with friends and people nearby Pokémon that you may have already found that they haven’t.
5. Legendary Pokémon!
The way that they have massive battles in order to catch the massively rare legendary Pokémon that are so popular to those who play these games. I really hope they will be able to have exclusive events where they will be able to have a bunch of people trying to catch the same legendary. Ugh, imagine the possibilities.
6. The future of Pokémon
Imagine the possibilities. This is just the beginning! If they are already at the point of creating a game based on augmented reality, just imagine what is going to happen when their technology gets even better in the next few years! I can’t wait to see what is going to happen when things get even better in the world of Pokémon.
