I am not the same size I was last year and it hurts me to see others taken down by body shaming. This poem is a reflection of that.
You're not skinny enough.
You're not pretty enough.
That's bs
You don't have to listen to that mess
They got goin on
Someone probably did it to them, so they're trying to pawn
It off on you
Like it's something you do
That pisses them off so much
Although they might just have a touch
Of a stigma about what's “normal”
Bodies are perfect no matter the size
So please stop spreading your lies
Because you're honestly not much better
Being a trendsetter
Of all the wrong things
See where life takes
You without being so damn petty
Size zero or 24,
Doesn't make you a whore.
A body is a body. Don't give a shit about it unless it's yours. If anyone shamed you, please know you are worth more than the words that hurt you.
