To The Plus-Sized Girl In A Regular-Sized World

My size doesn't define me, my heart and mind does.

All my life I've never been the same size as the people around me. I've always shopped in the plus sized section of stores. Although I do this, my size in clothing doesn't define me. My body may be bigger than yours but everything inside my body is the same size as yours.

People like to put plus sized girls down and tell them to loose weight just to be able to wear the clothes they do. Has anyone ever thought that some plus sized girls may be happy with their body? Didn't think so. Stop trying to change us, let us be, let us shop in the plus sized section, and don't look at us like we're some type of alien... That's the attitude we have to have; don't worry about my size or the places I shop in but don't judge me when I'm shopping.

With summer coming up, there's something us plus sized girls need to remember- wear that two piece, wear that tank top and shorts. Do what makes you happy, don't hide your body in fear of what others might think. When you learn to accept your body, others will too and that is what matters.

You don't have to be ashamed of your body. Your body is just that-- YOURS. This world shouldn't make you hate the body God gave you; you should accept what you are and realize that just because you are not like the people around you, you are not anything less than perfect.

This life is full of much bigger things to worry about than whether you are a size 2 or a size 22. So eat that doughnut, buy that tank top, show off your curves. Because at the end of the day, your life is your life.

You do you boo, you do you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
