Hey...

I just wanted to stop by and remind you:

Sometimes, those days happen.

Those days were the negative thoughts come, you feel stuck, you just don't want to continue anymore.

Sometimes, these emotions control your mind, and makes you feel like God made a hiccup in your creation.

Those days where you just plain DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Please, remember, it's OK to not be OK.

For the days you feel worthless and unneeded. Where you feel everyone's life would be better off if you never existed,

It's OK to not be OK.

For the days your chest burns because you feel inadequate. For the days you feel nothing but failure and given up hope,

It's OK to not be OK.

Read this when you feel those things. Where everyone in life is moving forward and you feel you are too stupid on where to take the first step forward.

You are strong. You are admirable.

Modest.

Loving.

Giving.

Beautiful.

When you feel like you had hit rock bottom...

Where you feel like you have no one with you...

You are not alone.

It's OK to CRY, it's OK to be STRESSED, it's OK to FAIL, it's OK to make MISTAKES.

It's OK to not be OK.

Thus far, you have overcame so much.

Please keep going.

When ever the thoughts start, whenever you can't anymore and people doubt who you are and your intelligence,

Please, don't stop.

Your fire in your heart is bigger than you think. Your mind can conquer mountains,

and the world is not ready for you, trailblazer.

You may be bent, but you ARE NOT BROKEN.

More mountains are coming that you are going to have to face; more rivers will flood your journey.

But:

IT'S OK.

No matter how off your world maybe, you are doing amazing.

You are doing amazing being you.

Keep holding on, no matter what.

No matter what...

It's OK to not be OK.

Until next time,

--You

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
