They say it is the most wonderful and joyous time of the entire year; yet year after year, we are caught discussing the same argument. There is a strange and undefined line circling around being politically allowed or advised to exchange a "Merry Christmas" to somebody in passing.
In a world that is being controlled by "political correctness" I hope that people can still share and spread holiday cheer and be grateful that someone took the time out of their day to wish them a "Happy Holiday," "Happy Hanukah," or a "Merry Christmas."
In the grand scheme of things to all of those who do not celebrate Christmas, I hope that I do not offend you if I say "Merry Christmas" to you. I hope you know that I do not do it out of spite or rather of hate, but instead, out of habit. This is simply something that I have grown up with and as a force of habit will continue to say to do my part in spreading holiday cheer.
And now to the other important part, I hope you know and understand that I will not be offended if you say "Happy Hanukkah," "Happy Kwanzaa," or "Happy Holidays" to me in replace of "Merry Christmas," Rather I will be grateful that you took the time out of your day to send holiday greetings my way.
I hope we can spend more time "spreading Christmas cheer, by singing loud for all to hear". There is so much more to worry about, because before we know it, the Christmas season will pass, so enjoy it while it's here. And for those of you who celebrate it, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and an even better 2016.
