Anyone who has been to Maui- or any of the Hawaiian Islands- know how beautiful they are. Located over a thousand miles away from land in any direction, the Hawaiian Islands are right in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This isolation has led to the islands, and Maui, in particular, is home to some of the most beautiful shores. Moreover, they definitely know that besides the incredible views, Maui hosts a plethora of exciting experiences. From horseback riding or surfing to ATV tours or cliff jumping, there are so many adventures to go on that will give you priceless memories. Beyond just the adventures, though, Maui offers a chance to truly get away.
The road to Hana
The Road to Hana (also known as the Hana Highway), stretches around the eastern side of the island of Maui, and boasts stops to take in the views, beaches (such as black sand beaches) and plenty of fresh banana bread stands. Take a day and drive down the highway, and stop when you want. The best way to experience the Hana highway is when you aren't rushed.
Hiking in Kaanapali
If you want to spend a day hiking, Kaanapali its one of the best places to do it. If you start at the epicenter of places to stay and shop in Kaanapali and drive a bit further up the coastline, a series of winding roads will take you to several places to park and climb down to see the cliffs. The route itself is breathtaking, but the blowholes and cliffs of the area make it worth the drive. Make sure you wear shoes that are durable- you'll need something with traction as the cliffs themselves are dangerous if you get too close to the edge.
Kapalua ziplines
There are so many places to zip line around Maui, so you can't really go wrong, but Kapalua added a bit of hiking and amazing views, as well as a personal experience that other companies would be hard-pressed to beat.
