Going to a different college than your best friend is a constant struggle. Even though keeping in contact is easier than ever in 2016, no amount of late-night texts, Skype sessions, or Facebook chats can ever replicate the incredible feeling of seeing your BFF in person. Now that exams are finally coming to an end, kick summer off right by celebrating with a killer friendship reunion!

If you've managed to endure the challenges of a long-distance friendship throughout this past school year, then you've definitely experienced a few stages of anticipation waiting for that face-to-face meet up.

1. Pre-planning all your upcoming adventures over text.

First, we'll go to a concert, then hit the beach, then a road trip to Maine, then in the second week of July...

2. Getting through the agony of finals week by reminding yourself that there are only a few more days until you'll be back together.

And procrastinating for your stats final by calculating the seconds until your reunion.

3. Enduring the agony of finishing the school year later/earlier than your BFF.

What's even the point of a vacation if there's no one around to share it with?

4. Snapchatting her every second of your car/plane ride home.

Look there's our grocery store! Look there's our coffee place! Look there's that weird-shaped tree we climbed that one time!

5. Getting the message that she's back and replying that you're coming over RIGHT NOW.

ON MY WAY! DON'T EVEN BOTHER UNPACKING!

6. Stepping into your BFF's house again and feeling like you're really 'home.'

7. Running over to give her a long-awaited hug.

Way better than hugging the computer screen!

8. Swapping stories about all your crazy college experiences.


And trying to top each other with your wild frat house tales.

9. And catching up on all the latest local town gossip.

"Wait, our old high school soccer coach did what?!"

10. Hitting the beach/pool/trails/movie theater/whatever!

Doesn't matter what you end up doing as long as you're doing it together!

11. Saying goodnight and knowing that tomorrow will be even better!

A whole summer of fun awaits, so make the most of all the time you have together and know that no matter the distance, this friendship is unbreakable!
