So as being a little sister, you might think of how obnoxious it is to have an older brother to live with. Let me tell you, this is TOTALLY true. Okay, I'm kidding! Because in the grand scheme of things, I'm actually super lucky to have a big brother. Especially mine. And here is why:
1. He is like a second dad to me.
Let's face it, he protects me just like my dad does, any boyfriend of mine has to go through not only my father, but him as well
2. He taught me how to be tough.
As crazy as it sounds, we fought... and still do, a lot. But it's teaching me how to be a tougher person when I need to be and stop being so weak sometimes.
3. He protects me like no other.
Aside from scaring off my boyfriends and potential dates, he sticks up for me when I need it, picks me up when I'm down and dusts off the dirt for me.
4. He lets me in on his secrets.
Speaking of dirt, we have a lot on each other. And we keep our secrets which makes things so much better. It especially helps to not have a guilty conscience.
5. He guides me on the right path.
He preaches the "do as I say and not as I do" thing. He still encourages me to do my best and tells me how stupid I was for whatever mistakes I've made. But loves me regardless.
6. He doesn't mind me stealing his clothes.
Okay -- maybe he does a little, but he knows you'll always give them back. Maybe!
7. He's my shoulder to cry on.
Even if he was the one to make me cry, he'd still dry the tears any time I needed him to.
As I grew older, I realized that he was going to there for me no matter how much of a mess I become. He'll be right there to pull me out of the mess I'm in. And might even help me clean it up. I'm thankful each and everyday to have him.
