How To Find Your Perfect Semi Formal Dress

It’s that time again ladies: semi-formal and formal season.The best time of the year if I might add, other than Christmas of course. Every year I face the same dilemma — so many places to go, so little things to wear. Most of the time, I can’t decide what to wear on even a regular day, so it’s ten times harder to decide on a dress, especially when I’m having an identity crises. Never fear ladies, I know all about not knowing if I’m going to be cool-girl, vegan-girl, or strat-girl. So I’ve done the work for you and narrowed it down to a few categories. Bonus round — all the dresses shown are under $100. Take note gals.    

The category below is considered the shiny group. Semi-formal season is also known as holiday season, so if you happen to purchase a shiny dress, wear it again for a Christmas party or New Years Eve! When wearing a shiny dress, keep the accessories simple with statement earrings or a simple clutch. If you’re interested in purchasing the dresses, I’ve listed them left to right. The next category is dedicated to those looking to save money by being able to wear their dress again, AKA Wear-Again Group (clever, right?). These dresses are semi-formal appropriate, yet could be worn for several other occasions and seasons. From left to right again, the black Tobi.com dress would be perfect for not only semi-formal, but also for a Halloween party as Cleopatra. The blue NastyGal.com dress would be perfect for a spring wedding. The leather fringed NastyGal.com dress would be perfect with tights and booties for a fall day or in the summer for an evening party. The red lace dress from ShopRiffRaff.com is the perfect option for graduation, whether it be yours or someone else’s.   

The last category is for the gals that ate too much over Thanksgiving break and are suffering from a food coma. The dresses below are figure-forgiving and ultra comfortable. And last but not least, my personal favorite from Tobi.com, perfect with brown strappy sandals.
