Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and for many of us that means long trips back home to celebrate with family and friends. Traveling long distances on any occasion can be stressful, but the Thanksgiving travel week can be especially tiresome. Whether you are sitting for hours in traffic, or on a red-eye flight, music can make the trip a little more bearable. Whenever I travel I make sure that I have the perfect playlist for the long haul home, so I decided to share some of my favorites with you! Hopefully this set of tracks will make the travel home as enjoyable as possible. Remember, drive safe and have a great Thanksgiving!

1. "7 Years" - Lukas Graham

It might feel like it is going to take seven years to get through that traffic, but this upbeat track might make it go a little bit faster.

2. "California" - Grimes

Maybe you are headed somewhere chilly for Thanksgiving, which might leave you California dreaming of warmer places.

3. "Water" - Ra Ra Riot

Ra Ra Riot is out with a new single and a new sound, this is the perfect song to doze off to cruising at 30,000 feet.

4. "Skin" - Kyla La Grange

This slow alternative R&B track is great to jam out with while freeway driving.

5. "Trouble" - Cage The Elephant

Hopefully your travels are trouble free, and the sounds of Cage The Elephant helps you along the way.

6. "Fast Lane" - Rationale

"Everybody speeds its the fast lane," but hopefully you don't! Practice safe driving, and be sure and let the soothing vocals of Rationale slow you down.

7. "Touch" - Pia Mia

There is nothing wrong with a little pop pick-me-up!

8. "Heart is Full" - Miike Snow

Need a little motivation? This is a great song to rally with, and make the final leg of the journey.
