Nothing makes drinking copious amounts of alcohol more acceptable than when there is a theme. Everybody loves a theme. Sometimes, the only theme you need is that the weather got colder and the leaves started changing colors. So thank you, fall, for letting us pretend we care what season we're drinking in. It's also an excuse to use more apples and pumpkins in our lives. Here are some of the best fall drinks you need to try (if you're of age), including some spooky ones!
1. S'mores martini.

2. Apple pie moonshine.
Because what's more southern than moonshine and what's more fall than apple pie? Create the perfect combination here.
3. Zombie brain shot.
Something our chemistry teachers should have actually taught us. Who knew this combination of alcohol would create such a cool looking and great tasting science project? All you need is equal parts grenadine, peach schnapps, and Bailey's.
4. Spiked hot chocolate.
Probably the easiest combination of cozy and boozy. Just add Bailey's for an extra creamy hot cocoa, or add some peppermint schnapps for a more holiday-spirited drunken twist (trust me, you won't taste the alcohol).
5. Candy corn cocktail.
Easy and colorful; don't forget the whipped cream topping! Details here.
6. Apple cider sangria.
- 1 bottle of pinot grigio
- 2½ cups fresh apple cider
- 1 cup club soda
- ½ cup honey whiskey
- four dashes of cinnamon
- 2 honey crisp apples, chopped
- 2 pears, chopped
- Cinnamon sticks
Combine all ingredients, stir, and enjoy!
7. Witches brew.
Vodka, orange sorbet, and champagne, what more do you need? Follow the recipe here. For extra pizazz, fill a latex glove with liquid and freeze it for a scary decor in a spooky cauldron.
8. Spiced apple cider margaritas.
Now, you can enjoy tequila Tuesdays while seasonally watching the leaves change! Recipe here.
9. Cranberry, orange, and apple sangria.
Perfect sangria for a day carving pumpkins or watching scary movies. Details here!
10. Apple cider fireball Jell-O shots.
There's a reason there's a red devil on the label. Recipe here.
11. Pumpkin-tini.
Does it get more fall than this?
Happy fall and happy drinking!
