In my opinion pasta is the best food there is, for many reasons. Whoever created pasta knew what they were doing. Maybe right now you don't think that past is the best food, but after reading this, you'll have a better appreciation for the quality of pasta.

1. Pasta is easy to make.

If you can boil things and set a timer, you can make pasta. It's a very easy dish to make. It only takes about ten minutes, depending on the type of pasta. Just make sure it doesn't boil over and stick in the pan. As far as recipes go, it's not very complicated.

2. Pasta is filling.

Pasta is one of those satisfying foods that always makes you full. You don't have to make a large amount to have a satisfying meal. It's a food that can go along way, so it's great for a family meal or even church event. I don't know how many spaghetti dinners I've been to at church. The only problem I've come across with making spaghetti is that because it's so filling I sometimes make too much for myself. That's why left overs are a thing.

3. It's a great leftover.

There aren't that many foods that are great leftovers, but pasta has never let me down. Just stir it while you're warming it up, throw some cheese on it and you have yourself another satisfying meal.

4. Pasta is healthy.

Pasta is a great source of carbohydrates, which is the essential fuel your body needs to sustain itself. It is also low in sodium and cholesterol free. It's a food that can help you have a balanced diet. Plus it's a food that you can easily pair with vegetables and other foods to have a complete healthy meal.

5. Most pasta is vegan.

Anyone on a vegan diet can count on pasta for a filling meal. There are a few ingredients to look for when you are buying pasta. There are always exceptions, but generally pasta is a great choice for vegans who want a satisfying meal. You don't need dairy or eggs to have a delicious pasta feast!

6. Pasta is versatile.

There are several ways to make pasta, so you won't ever get tired of the same old meal. You can have Baked Spaghetti, Fettuccine Alfredo or any other possibility you can imagine. You can change up the type of sauce you use or the pasta itself for endless possibilities.

7. You can make it your own.

Pasta is a good food to experiment with different recipes. You can have a pasta base and play with different sauces, or try different pairings. Maybe you'll create a masterpiece that you can pass down to become a special family recipe.

8. It's a fun food.

Pasta is a fun food to eat. Sometimes you can't beat the satisfaction of slurping an incredibly long noodle. It can be messy, but messy can be part of the fun. Forget the fork, who needs to be proper?

9. It's great for babies.

Pasta is a great start food for babies. It's soft, so it's not too challenging for them. They can eat it without bothering their sensitive teething gums. Plus, it's a great experience for them to get a little messy with their food.

10. Pasta can be romantic.

You can't deny the romance of pasta, apart from the fact that you can get sauce on your face. That could lead to a cute moment though. Pasta is fun and you definitely want to have fun on a date. Besides, you could have a cute "Lady and the Tramp" moment.

11. Pasta has a great history.

You may not be thinking about it when you're chewing away at that mouthful of pasta, but when you actually look into it, the history of pasta is pretty cool. While we traditionally associate pasta with Italy, it actually comes from Asian noodles. There is an entire history of pasta in several cultures most people don't know.

12. Pasta is culturally diverse.

There are several different cultures that enjoy pasta. You can find all kinds of recipes to enjoy from around the world. That gives you plenty of options to try. If you want to experience variety, pasta is the way to go.

Basically, you can't go wrong with pasta. There are so many reasons to enjoy and appreciate this food and I didn't even mention all of the puns to create. There are so many pastabilities!

Now, go out and get yourself a satisfying pasta feast!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
