The Paris Climate Agreement or accord was sealed on December 12th, 2015, signed April 22nd, 2016 and made effective on November 4th, 2016. This agreement is tethered as a global effort to improve green environments, mitigate the massive emissions of green house gases (for which we are the #2 negative contributors in the entire planet) and adjustment and financial affairs (taking into consideration the well-being of ecology) starting in 2020.

The accord was established by delegates of 196 parties at the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC in Parties, then adopted by consensus on December 12, 2015. Established as a matter of development and advancement for not only the United States, Paris, France, or China, but rather for the entire globe. In the accord, each country involved addresses climate change issues and reports the ways in which they are helping to cease climate change, and other global ecologic issues. Only 2 countries were not part of the accord: Nicaragua and Syria (which jointly impacts greatly the environment, since they too make part of the effects of global warming), yet now there are 3. The United States, by withdrawing from the agreement, ceases to acknowledge the fact that it is the second most contributing nation affecting and crushing the environment out of 196 countries that seek to improve and better it.

On June, 1st, 2017 President of the United States, Donald Trump stated: "The United States will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord but begin negotiations to reenter either the Paris accord in an entirely new transaction in terms that are fair to the United States, in terms that are fair to the Americans, we are getting out but we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make a deal that's fair, if we can it's great if we can't it's fine." These were his exact words, incoherent and possibly one of the most harsh, saddening phrases stated in our time for the people of America and of the world that do not support the action taken..

While doing this, Trump was selfish to ask for a "fair" deal for the United States, disregarding every other country that is part of the deal. Essentially, asking for an exception.

The majority of America's population today, is in support of the Paris Climate Accord, and as citizens, there is a sense of danger and fear. President Trump is isolating the United States from the rest of the world, and he seems to think what he does is right. For climate, there would be no dollar sufficient to repay the damages provoked as a collective whole to our world. Getting to improve our ecology is extremely important and beneficial to 99.9 -100% of our actual population as well as future generations. Where would we go if we ended up destroying our planet and led by the lack of awareness that a few political leaders have and impart to their citizens, therefore making believe what they say is true and atrophying misinformed civilians perspectives'.

To express the collective support Americans maintain towards the Paris Climate Accord, buildings all around the U.S lit up green on Thursday night-June 1st. Governor of the world's capital: New York, Andrew Cuomo, directed that both the One World Trade Center and the Kosciuszko bridge be lit green in solidarity.

Concerned nations, citizens, mayors, people, all around the world also showed their support.

This is a time when we must be united, just because the nation's leader has made and stated an action that is rather hurtful for the majority of the people does not mean that we need to support him. We can demonstrate that we care, and we do not support ideas that negatively impact the well being of our nation and of our world. With our everyday actions, we leave a mark on the soil and become part of the history of our planet, so it is important that we always maintain a conscience that is aware, and that is knowledgeable. While we create awareness in other people, it is significant that we desist of being part of, as well as cease the creation, of hostile environments of hatred and instead express our perspectives in a way that is peaceful and non-offensive to others. It is not a world or a nation of alienation that we seek to create because this could seriously damage our global stance and world, rather a unification of our ideas to voice peaceful terms and to support actions that are fair and that improve our planet. Remember that you are not alone, many people, a majority of people, envision likewise.

These are the statistics from 2016, inferring it is only imaginable that the support towards "should participate" will increase. On a global scale, we are responsible of the effects that occur with this situation. Our doings and sayings have greater impact and are heard in the current bearings so we must be careful of what we address and state. Everything happened is a consequence of the latitudes of power seen in actuality. As citizens, attempting and seeking to better our commonality is a responsibility. Let's seek to advance, develop and transform with our public voice and social influences the way in which we help the globe. This can consequently alleviate tensions and damages created from our possible old perspectives.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
