Dear mom and dad,
As I sit in my room on the last week of my spring break watching "Grey's Anatomy" for the third time, I thought you both deserved a well-deserved thank you from me. Every day the both of you go above and beyond for me and even though I say thank you and that I love you, sometimes I don't believe you understand just how thankful and just how much I really love you both. You've supported me and believed in me every day since I was old enough to start making my own decisions and I wouldn't have the courage to make those decisions if you didn't believe in me the way that you did. So here is a well-deserved thank you to the both of you.
Thank you for loving me no matter how badly I messed up. I know I can be the biggest pain in the world and I don’t make it easy for you to deal with me either but you’ve never stopped loving me. I know what it's like to be so unconditionally loved by someone because I was loved by the both of you. No matter what I do, no matter how badly I annoy you or aggravate you, I never go a day without feeling loved by the both of you.
Thank you for pushing me when it came to sports and school. I wouldn't be as hard working as I am if you didn't teach me to do the best that I could. I know it was awful driving me to matches on Friday nights but you did it anyway because I loved it. You told me to do my best and if I didn't win you were still proud of me. You were never disappointed when I failed because you knew next time I'd come out on top.
Thank you for teaching me to go for the best, to go big or go home. I never settle for anything less than the best (even when it comes to shopping). You taught me to set high expectations and to never give up until I reach those expectations. I dream big, I dream wildly and sometimes I get told my dreams are crazy but I don't care because if I want them, I'll work for them.
Thank you for giving me the world and for making one of my wildest dreams come true. When I was little and even now I loved hearing all your stories from when you two lived in London and from traveling everywhere you could possibly go. It has been one of my biggest dreams to walk in your footsteps and go to London and when I had my opportunity, you told me to take it. You encouraged me to go to all of these incredible places, to experience all that I can and to make the best memories I could ever have.
Because of the two of you I am able to live this amazing life. You've given me more than I could ever ask for and continue to help me in every single way possible. I am the passionate, driven, hardworking, easy going and humorous person I am because I have the two of you to look up to. I can never thank you enough for being the best two people in the world.
